OK, so we've been a bit slack with posting our results... but we're working on the assumption that no one cares but us!!! We'll try to be more consistent!

For details of the games this Sunday, visit the NWSWS Association website.

Also, the Matildas played last Friday, if you have a Facebook account, read about it here.

Take it easy!

Hey Bat Friends,

Due to yet more rain in Sydney this weekend, all the Bats games were cancelled... AGAIN! That's 3 weeks in a row for most of us. Not happy. Still, we organised a kick about in the park before heading to the Barley for a few (too many) beers. Fingers crossed we'll get to play next week.

Matildas News

Matildas to play in Sydney! - The gals will be playing a friendly before the Socceroos vs Ghana game in Sydney at Sydney Football Stadium on May  23. Match starts at 5.15pm EST. Get your tickets here.

Congratulations to Heather Garriock 7 for her 100th cap! She's the youngest Australian player to reach 100 games for her country (male or female) - so now the Matildas have the most capped footballer (go Cheryl!) and the youngest. Take that Socceroos! OK, so we like the blokes too... just not as much ;-)

Actually, it IS cricket but we had to mention it because the women's game of just about any sport hardly gets in the news. Also, there's a young player in the Australian Women's Cricket team that will, in a few years, have to make a decision. Ellyse Perry is on of Australias brightest young stars and has represented Australia in Cricket and Soccer... I guess you all know which sport we hope she picks!!

Here's some news, in reverse order:

Australia beats England to tie series
Rolton: Perry will have no problems serving up to England
Schoolgirl sensation Perry enjoys the best of both worlds
Bowral set to host the best of women's cricket
Perry leads Aussie women to Twenty20 win
Perry shines on Twenty20 debut
Perry and Blackwell guide Australia to 127
Perry too much for England women
Perry leads Australia to women's Twenty20 win
'Fairytale win' for England's skipper
England beats Aussie women in one-dayer

And there's more... just google Ellyse Perry.

And don't forget, the Bats are now recruiting for the 08 season, so get ur kit on and come play with us!

Training has been cancelled tonight due to the grounds beinig too wet.

Instead, we're headed down to the pub to watch the Socceroos play Qatar in the first of their 2010 World Cup qualifying matches.
