Hello everyone--i updated this page to just me and my songs that i've written....The group Duover has gotten a makeover lately. We actually added a third person, Robert Hosfeld, and now have the name "Sound Investment". The name kind of comes from the fact that Robert used to be an accountant--lol! I really don't mind what it's called, i just want to get back out in the public again to perform great music! We are from the Southwest Florida area and hope to be out and about soon. We have been rehearsing quite a bit , and between the 3 of us, have got about 400 songs in our reportoirre. We want to do anything and everything to satisfy everyone we get a gig from! So, this page is just for my own creativity and fun and everything is done in my livingroom. These songs will probably be never heard out anywhere, but it is still my way of sharing with anyone who will listen. Our new group is an all-cover vocal group, and not being used for original music. Maybe i'll make a solo appearance in a coffee bar/bar/restaurant and get to play these.....who knows?....Hey, i'm not trying to make these into recording masterpieces or anything. They are going to be as raw as raw can be, with maybe a mistake here and there once in awhile. I just do it for the pure enjoyment....hope you can look past the occasional "oops!", and just enjoy the music for what it is...just fun and good times!---Thanks for reading and listening!!---Jim

Hey everyone--
We finally got a couple of tunes put up with Diane on the vocals. These aren't really the final versions but actually just the raw beginnings with more tracks/instruments to be added.....Both songs were written by Jim. They are Disappear and Living In Paradise. Hope you enjoy! Let us know what you think!---Take Care!--Jim and Diane of "Duo-ver"!

Hi everybody!---went to a party for the debut of a promotional video for singer/songwriter bud buckley(CD available at CDBaby.com called "Feel My Love")...i was a part of the video being interviewed, lol....at least i didn't look like too much of a doofus! After the video, my wife Diane, myself and Bud played a Styx tune called "Yes I Can"...for all you acoustically inclined people, it's a great song to do...very beautiful and really needs someone doing the harmony with you(my job on this night along with the guitar)...Bud played the solo andadded harmonica in it too. If you want to check out the song, it is available on Styx' cd called Cyclorama...everyone seemed to enjoy it. As I stated in an earlier bulletin post, i will eventually be changing my myspace page to include my wife(instead of just myself), and will be called "Duo-ver". A play on the words "do over" because we've done this a couple of times before in different groups, but decided after all these years, we would like to do this over with just the two of us(and a guest or two now and then!).And well, we will be a duo, so thus, "Duo-ver"...ok ok enough blah blah blah......

Hi everyone---i've been itching to put another song up so i just threw in a practice demo of "Say Goodbye". Lyrics and music were all me and i am playing the acoustic and singing...so, expect a sour note here and there and a flub on a chord at the end...ha ha...like i said it was just practice....eventually there will be keyboards added and a redo on the vocals and guitar and fillers too...i just wanted you all to get an idea what this song sounds like......
Take Care, Jim

hi everybody!--just wanted to say that i'm working hard to get more songs posted....right now i am trying to get some rough cuts down to at least give you a taste of what some of my songs sound like--of course i don't have a "musical guest" like in "Less"--so far the next ones i'm working on are just me doing acousttic versions....please be patient as i'm doing my best to put up songs that sound somewhat decent!--lol!

hi there!---i just wanted to say that the song Less was something i wrote after a loved one passed away and how much i thought that person will be missed. I wrote it as a personal "healing" and know it's not the type of song that would be considered marketable, but there is always hope that someone else would record it. But if not, that's ok.....it was meant to be a kind of grief therapy for me anyways.....if any of you want to add it to your play list, go on ahead.....or your set list for that matter...lol...take care---jim

Hi everyone! This is my first entry here on myspace!
If you read a little of my bio on the side , i said my music was just me with an occasional guest. I wrote the song "Less" and before deciding to work on my own recording, i wanted to see what someone else could do with my lyrics. Stepping up to the plate was Jon Conley for the paramount song group out of Nashville. He recorded this song for me. Jon has played guitar for both Wynnona Judd and Lee Greenwood. I hope you agree that he did a fantastic job! But now i am going to continue the recordings from now on with myself basically and will still bring in a few local musical guests from my area. I hope you'll enjoy my others songs as they come. I've written approx. 150 songs and hope to see them recorded in some way or another...150 would take quite a long time now wouldn't it? But hey, that's what i'm doing it for! I have four other songs partially recorded at this time and hope to have them soon....Titles are: "Sometimes", "Say Goodbye","(Gotta Keep Me From)Leaving You", and "Sally Won't Wait Forever". Thanks for stopping by and check periodically for more STUFF!
