We had a fun time at the Walk of Fame on Sunday- where Dolly, Charlie Daniels, Kid Rock, & more were given Stars on Nashville's Walk of Fame in downtown in front of the Country Music HOF-....We also celebrated songwriter Gary Nicholson's bday at 3rd & Lindsley in DT with artists Pam Tillis, Lari White & writers Jessie Alexander, Steve Cropper, Alan Croce (Jim Croce's son) & more...we will have footage/interviews posted from that!

Looking forward to a beautiful CMA Week here in Nashville, covering the World Orphans Benefit ceremony with Adam Gregory & Buddy Jewell as Ambassadors, & CMA week festivities with Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley & more coming up to the Awards show day, where we will give you the latest happenings!! on November 11, 2009.

Doorpost Movie Awards
Nashville is full of Music-related events, but another aspect of the Music City which isn't relayed much is the budding Film industry. On a cool Saturday evening, the Movie ceremony titled The Doorpost Awards was hosted at the Belcourt Theatre on the trendy 21st Ave.

Event Information:
The three films with the highest scores was awarded cash prizes of $100,000, $35,000 and $25,000 respectively. There was also a "Filmmaker's Choice" award to the tune of $15,000 handed out to one of the indie filmmakers. The filmmakers have received scores from online voters and industry jurists, which include Ralph Winter ("X-men," "Fantastic Four"), Catherine Hardwick ("Twilight," "Lords of Dogtown"), Larry Lasker ("War Games," "Sneakers"), and Fred Roos ("Godfather I, II, II," "Lost in Translation") to name a few.

This year, MovieMaker magazine listed the Doorpost Film Project as one of "25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee." The competition calls on filmmakers to create a film seven minutes or less inspired by one of five words: freedom, redemption, humility, forgiveness or joy. Hundreds of filmmakers were narrowed down to just 10 finalists. In May, those 10 filmmakers were awarded a production budget of $30,000 to develop a new film, 20 minutes or less, based on the topic hope. (Source: Kaleidoscope Media)
