Crown Ridge is offering 2 internships where students will gain valuable knowledge and working experience with tigers and lions which can be later used to further one’s career in the animal field. The start and end dates are flexible, depending on the interns schedule. Our internships are non-paid but students can receive credit in some cases. We do not offer housing to interns but can accommodate a flexible schedule. Work hours are generally from 8am to 4pm, 4 days a week. Interns will be evaluated monthly and will be required to write a summary of their experiences here at the sanctuary.

Interns will participate in the daily care and management of tigers and lions which includes but is not limited to: diet preparation, exhibit maintenance, enclosure cleaning, feeding, operant conditioning, and behavioral enrichment. Grounds maintenance is needed and includes general clean-up and landscaping. Students will also learn about the operation of a non-profit sanctuary, fundraising, and USDA regulations. Interns will give tours to the general public and participate in group education. Interns are heavily involved in guest relations and programs. This is a great opportunity for students to get hands on animal care experience while learning about the importance of conservation work. ....
