Current mood:  artistic
I'm amping up for the STITCH 2007 show- my biggest of the year on Sat. Nov. 10th at the Austin Convention Center (spot 103) (Stitchaustin.com)....
So my selection right now is some of the best I've made all year and I've made to abundance. My hopes are to move huge chunks of my fancier more original cuff designs into different boutiques to multiply my availability by leaps and bounds. So hopefully soon I'll be available in boutiques in more cities than just Austin. (chicago?? New york?? dare I even think.....L.A.??)
I'm working on it. Big things are coming.

SO- Find me now locally and get the pick of the new crop:

Saturday, September 22, 2007
Today, Saturday, September 22nd, 2007, I will be at:

Kerby Lane S.Lamar from roughly 9:30am until about 2:30pm- and that is the last time in South Austin (other than 1st Thursday) for about one month. SO COME OUT AND SHOP, yo.....
really. Prove to me how cool South Austin is- cuz I don't get it.

Tomorrow, Sunday, September 23rd, 2007, I will be at:

My homebase- Kerby Lane NW, 183 (McNeil Spicewood exit) from roughly 9am-3pm. THIS is where I feel the love.

The next few weeks (thru Oct. 14th) I will be at Kerby Lane NW, 183 from Friday thru Sunday, roughly 9am-3pm each day. Fri. Sept 28th I will probably leave early to go to the bead show- so let's say 1pm on that day.

I'll be shooting pix for my brand new ETSY shop. Look for a posting on that subject hopefully in a few days time.

Also, I'll be at STITCH fashion revolution again this year. This is a D-I-Y fashion show and guerilla craft bizaare that is one of the coolest events in town all year long. No boast- it really is!!
It will be at the Austin Convention Center this year, too! So it's going to be HUGE! That is on November 10th, 2007. So write that one on your calender in fat tip sharpie and circle it- you won't want to be the loser who misses out, right? ;)

Have a great weekend,
Come by and say hello, will ya already?

Current mood:  happy
Ok Folks.
My calibration is reset. I'm once again happy and in love with my life- the dark days of depression now behind me and I'm not on drugs to put me there. As boring as that sounds....it's really quite remarkable to me and makes me even happier knowing I'm in control of the ol' brainpan again.

So come out and find me this weekend! If I'm not smiling, tell me a joke. (hell- tell me a joke even if I AM smiling.)

Friday Aug. 31st, 11am-5pm, SERRANO's on Red River @ Symphony Hall. ****new venue!!
Saturday Sept. 1st, 9am-3pm, Kerbey Lane NW, 183 N, spicewood/McNeil exit.
Sunday Sept. 2nd, 9am-3pm, Kerbey Lane NW, 183 N, spicewood/McNeil exit.
Monday Sept. 3rd, (LABOR DAY) 9am-3pm, Kerbey Lane NW, 183 N, spicewood/McNeil exit.

Plus I wasn't kidding- I'm starting to work with metals now. So look for a groovy line of silver and gemstone jewelry developing on my table. Be the first on your block to own some Merchant Ship Metals!!!!

And heads up for next week- first Thursday on SoCo is coming up....
OH!!!! AND I got into STITCH guerilla craft bazaar again for this November. YAY!!!!
Have a great weekend!

Current mood:  bored
I'm not blue.
I am a bit bored.
I'm also 1800 miles from home.

I'm still on the road, folks. Been to my High School reunion. 20 years later...i still don't particularly like anyone i went to school with- but they were all, for the most part, very nice to me which is a HUGE difference from 20 yrs ago. I did reconnect with one friend who made the nite not suck. She and I will definitely keep in touch. (shout out to Linda!!)

I went to Starwood festival after a 3 year hiatus- it was wonderful, yet has left me a bit more meloncholy than i really need to be currently. Can't really even talk about it publicly- so suffice to say my heart has had yet more plush plucked from it.

I have just under 2 more weeks here in lovely Connect-the-dots. Freakin' the norms just doesn't hold the charm it used to for me. I went to borders books last nite and they must have thought i was an extra from Pirates of the Caribbean. I truly miss my City of Weird. Thoughts of moving back home to CT are essentially a non-issue. I'd have to find a normal job (ewwwww) and join the ranks of the beige panted human chattle. (not gonna happen)

I'll be doing an event tonite similar to one in Austin called "First Friday Art Walk" in Black Rock, CT. If you happen to be in the neighborhood- find me.

Going to see my friend Rev play one of his last shows with his now former band, Sol Dog on Saturday nite at the Black Duck.

Sunday morning has me at a biker meet from 8am-11am, then from there I jet out to the New York Renaissance festival. me-thinks at least me-hopes that I can get to do all these things.

Anyhow, thought I'd let y'all know that I'm alive and well in cooler climes. I'm looking forward to getting home and tweaking out my world with a more relaxed attitude and a better focus than i left Austin with.

Oh....and i'll be working on becoming a silversmith now, too! heh heh heh......it never ends.

keep cool and/or get naked,
Lisa

OK.
The weather is totally not my buddy right now.
I'm hoping that it stays clear and we don't have to cancel- so if it ain't rainin' look for me at:

July5th, 2007
1st Thursday on South Congress, in the lot next to homeslice pizza (in front of All City Sewing) on the corner of Elizabeth and SoCo. 5pm-10pm

7/6/07
Friday, Kerby Lane North 183. McNeil Spicewood exit. 9am-3pm

7/7/7
Saturday, Kerby Lane SOUTH Lamar, 9am-3pm

7/8/7
Sunday, Kerby Lane North 183. McNeil Spicewood exit. 9am-3pm

OK. That is it for me in Austin this summer. I will be going up to CT/NY for 5 weeks to attend my 20th high school reunion (aaaaaaagh) and then to go frolic in the woods like the happy naked pagan I need to be for a few weeks every year so I don't go out of my mind. Visit mom, hang with bikers......all that good stuff- and all in a reasonable climate. I may even get to go to the NY renaissance festival- an old favorite haunt of mine.

I will be back in Austin towards the end of August. If you can't wait, I've put alot of stuff into Parts & Labour on South Congress, Sticky Fingers on S.1st, Lowbrow Emporium on South Lamar, and in the case up at Kerby Lane North 183. You can also email me or call me if need be and we can figure out how to get what you need to you.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!!!!Look for blog postings from my northern hiatus.

Current mood:  excited
Come on out and get your groove on!!!
Austin Reggae Festival (formerly Marleyfest) is this weekend, April 21st &22nd, at Auditorium Shores downtown Austin from 12 noon until 10pm.

The weather is supposed to be damn near PERFECT!!!! (low 80's) and there is no pesky conflicting holiday to ruin the show. (last year it fell on Easter and was in the low 100's- which sucked)

COME ON OUT - DON'T MISS THIS EVENT!!

This one is really one of the most fun music festivals we have here in Austin. Absolutely worth the road trip.
Come find me vending my wares and getting my groove on around the fountain on the southeast side of the event. My spot backs up to the fence with Hooters behind me. I'm not close to the stage- but I'm in the shade in a nice area to chill and get your 4:20 on.

Irie,
See ya there!
