The world of Network Marketing has found it's place online. The rules have changed, and so have the players. Are you ready to succeed in this business without ever leaving your home?

What I am about to share with you is probably not something you have heard before. You see, it is completely possible to have a successful network marketing business...online. How? Well, it requires you to play by an entirely different set of rules. Ones that you may not even be aware exist. Ones your upline is almost certainly not promoting.

Here are the 8 essential steps to profiting from an online MLM business.

  1. Acquire Business Skills

This is vital to having a successful MultiLevel Marketing business. Your business is not a hobby. If you want your business to succeed, you need to treat it like a business. You need to go to "work" everyday. You need to record profits and expenses, file taxes, and acquire any basic business skills that you are currently lacking.

  1. Educate Yourself on Online MLM

The online Network Marketing world is different from its offline counterpart. Offline, you need to find prospects. Online, you want your prospects to come to you. Do you know how to accomplish this?

The first step, and it is vital if you want to do MLM online is to educate yourself on how it works, why it is different, and what you need to do in order to succeed. A good starting point is www.PromoteMLMOnline.com, which will provide you with some resources about the online philosophy.

  1. Diversify

A carnal sin in the Multilevel Marketing world seems to be diversification, yet that is exactly what you need to do online. When you diversify your income streams, you are able to earn extra cash to get you through the early financially straining days of building your business, and you also allow prospects to find you in different ways. Do not be afraid to broaden your financial horizons. DO NOT put all your eggs in one basket.

  1. Make a One Year Plan

Network Marketing does not happen overnight. Your business will take time, real effort, and money. Plan on working without significant results for at least a year. But make sure you plan. If you set a goal for yourself, and break down steps you need to take in order to reach that goal, you can accomplish a lot in one year's time, and build the foundation of a phenomenal business.

  1. Pick a Company

If you are not already involved in multilevel marketing, now is the time to pick a company. No, you don't want to do this first. By picking a company now, you have avoided the emotional ploys most companies use to get you "pepped" up. You now are able to make a clear, level headed decision about what opportunity will work best for you. If you already have a company, now would be the time to reexamine it to make sure that it is in your best interest to proceed.

  1. Find a Niche

After deciding on a company and product, you need to figure out what niche market you will be advertising to. What groups of people need your product or opportunity? How can you present your product or opportunity to them in a way that meets their needs? This step is vital to building a successful business. You cannot market to everyone. You need to narrow the field.

  1. Build a Website

After finding your company, your niche market, and getting an online network marketing education, you need to put it all together into forming a great website. DO NOT rely on your company sponsored replicated site. In fact, don't even mention your duplicated site on your personal site. This site will be for finding your niche market and getting them interested in you, and whatever opportunity you are promoting. Signing them up for your program will come later.

  1. Just Do It

The most important step to online network marketing success is to just do it! Get off your bum, stop over analyzing, stop procrastinating, and get on with it! Your future can only change if you do.

Lets be blunt. More ebay auction traffic leads to more bids. I guess you could say, "well if the traffic isn't targeted it doesn't matter!" You'd be right. Who cares if people see your auction if they are terrified of ebay? So, we want more auction traffic but from people that are comfortable shopping on ebay. The two secrets I'm using right now are:

  1. Submit your auction at Digg.com. The more people that digg (enjoy) waht you submit the more exposure it gets. Unfortunately this trick will only work if your auction is ridiculous. Don't waste your time unless your auction is something that the digg crowd would love. They are a nerdy hip elite crowd. Digg is great if your selling something perfectly nerdy hip and elite like this.
  2. Submit your auction to BidBuds. Its a "budding" (not funny) ebay community where you can display your auction photo right at the top for everyone to see. The more enticing the photo the more clicks you will get. Not only that but if you want to take it to the next level you can start posting with your current items for sale link or your ebay store link in your signature. This brings in a surprising amount of traffic for the work involved.

That's what I got for now. Care to share any tips yourself? (wink, wink)

Introduction:

Strategies are strategies. Dismiss for a moment from your mind what some people are saying about Bill Gates's offensive practices he used to transform himself from a small business entrepreneur to a titan in the business world. There are yet honest-to-goodness strategies we can glean from his sleeves. We can study, learn from them and possibly apply them in our own home based business. Upon this premise that this article was written.

Strategy of Bill Gates - Have a Vision:

At the outset, I will lay down the results of my research on one secret strategy of Bill Gates. He used the same strategy to jump-start his small business to today's business behemoth. Based on my research, the strategy of Bill Gates is grounded upon the following: "Have a VISION of what you want to achieve and hold on to that vision come wrath or high water." His vision was: "A Personal Computer on every desk." By the way, I didn't want to use the grammatically correct expression "come hell or high water" - for personal reason - so excuse my grammatical preference. Anyway, let's go back to our subject. When you have a vision, you can make the impossible possible. Almost everybody is familiar about how once upon a time the small business entrepreneur Bill Gates secured mighty IBM's contract to supply the latter's operating system. When he was negotiating with the IBM people, he had no operating system as yet. He was able to buy a Disk Operating System or DOS for $50 thousand. In the end, he got the contract. Why? Bill Gates was guided by his vision - that every desk all over the world should have a computer on it. This vision enabled him to provide IBM with a DOS operating system and have control over it including to whom he wanted it sold to.

Beginning Entrepreneur:

Before he became an entrepreneur, Bill Gates had nurtured the vision that software will one day rule the world. During high school he spent many late nights with friend Paul Allen tinkering with the school's computer system. He dropped out of college after completing his junior year at Harvard. Instead, he and his bosom friend Paul Allen set up a small business - a software company - in far away New Mexico. This move was in accordance with his vision. His vision became clearer as he moved from a total newbie to one with a small business to keep. His vision was clothed in clearer terms, as he negotiated the DOS deal with IBM.

Better late than never:

Bill Gates's company ultimately became the leader in the software arena. During the first half of the 1990's - 1993 to be exact - he was among the last of the software titans to acknowledge the future significance of the Internet. But once he did realize that indeed Internet was the wave of the future, he had the tenacity to reshape his vision. His vision retained its old flavor - that is, software dominance in commerce, industry and in every field. It was rehashed in his own words as follows: "In the years ahead, the Internet will have an even more profound effect on the way we work, live and learn … this technology will be one of the key cultural and economic forces of the early 21st century." At this moment in time, Bill Gates is guided by the vision that the Internet is the wave of the present and the foreseeable future.

Lessons Learned:

You can learn from Bill Gates by having your own vision for your small business. Lay down this vision in your mind. Then put it into writing. Read your vision everyday while at work in your small corner of the house. Your vision could be as short-term as the following: "To make my web site land within the top five of Google when people search for the keywords 'home based business,'" or "$200,000 earning this year from Google Adsense,"or "To enrich the content of my web site using the theme 'scrap book making.'" Do not limit yourself to short-term vision. Aim for the long-term. A five to ten years period would suffice. Technology may change but your vision will essentially be the same. You may refine it if deemed necessary, like incorporating the effect of technological changes - as Bill Gates did.

Your Share of the Pie:

Everybody - from Bill Gates down to your netpreneur friend - has recognized the tremendous role of the Internet in business developments. Some of the more immediate pressing concerns you should consider at this stage concerning your home based business are the following: - General preference for digital transactions by clients. For example, as a beginning Internet entrepreneur you should meet your clients' demands who favor the use of online payment system.

At this juncture, I would like to refer you to my web site at InternetMarketingLearningCenter.com which offers free learning stuff on Internet marketing and home based business. One category being tackled in the web site is the online payment system. You may read online news and keep yourself abreast of the best software companion for your small business. - Choose products that are preferred by people at this time when the Internet is dominating people's lives. It has been determined that information products and web shopping are favored by most consumers. Information products include your very own ebooks and "how-to" manuals. - Make it your aim that your products are cheap, very useful, and the best among the rest of competing products. This applies most especially to shopping products.

For your own digital products, you have the advantage of pricing them according to your own estimation. You as the author of your own digital product determines the price level. It is no wonder why gurus like Jay Abraham, Jim Daniels and the late Corey Rudl have become so wealthy from selling their own digital pieces. As for these three, they will be among the titans that we will tackle in future issues of this series.

This really got my attention! This is about Google AdSense and the money that can be made from just signing up to have them on your site. Unfortunately, it's not available for ebay stores. Yet. It's from an article on http://www.workhappy.net

Interview with Markus Frind - AdSense Millionaire

June 15, 2006 in An interview

Markus Frind runs a free online dating site called PlentyOfFish.com and he rocked the Internet world this week when he posted a photo of his latest Google AdSense check for nearly $1 million CAD.

Plentyoffishcheque2

It was a check for 2 months because the first check they sent was so big it was rejected by his bank. (I hate it when that happens.)

I asked Markus to share a few thoughts with us, and he was kind enough to oblige.

You're a one-man show running a very successful dating site. Tell us how you got started.

Back in 2001 after my birthday someone in the office introduced me to online dating sites.  I went back to my desk and checked out udate.com and kiss.com and lavalife/web personals.    I was bored and I wanted to chat with people.  I was really annoyed when I found out you had to pay for everything, I ended up telling the girl who introduced me to the sites that I could do better and make them for free, so I went and registered Plentyoffish.com.    All I ever ended up doing was creating an index page and forgot about it. Fast forward to 2003... [Find the rest of Markus' answer over on his blog]

Your site, if you'll forgive me, isn't terribly attractive, it isn't "web 2.0" it isn't even a terribly original idea. Many entrepreneurs today think that without those ingredients in the recipe, they'll never make it. You've clearly proved otherwise. What's your secret and what are your thoughts about what it takes to be successful?

To many people assume an "original idea" is just something that looks visually different then others. I created the first real free dating and the first one that actually worked. Just like Google created the first real search engine that worked. There is no such thing as a secret.  When I came home from work I sat down and I forced myself to code for a hour or 2. The enemy was thinking,  whenever I paused or started to think I would force myself to type something,  its amazing how much you can get done when you just type. There are only 1000 or so sites in the world with massive traffic, and of those mine is the only one that is run by a single person.   It's not possible for thousands of people to be as successful as me. For being successful in building sites you need to give something to the surfer  faster  or better or both. If you want to do pay per click,  you just need to be good at picking words to bid on.  For that business its just a matter of repetition and fighting boredom. At the end of the day you just need to sit down and DO it.  Most people don't.

You've obviously done a brilliant job marketing the site because you have some insane traffic numbers. What do you feel has been your most successful marketing move and why?

It was all viral. My best move was not going out and spending a ton of money, with online dating you need to spend $6.00 for every free member, and most of those leave on the first day and the few that do become active don't stay more than 3 months. So 30% of your membership is turned over per month. There is no way you can make your money back. The site went ballistic in Canada all on its own I really didn't have to do anything.

What has been your least successful marketing effort? Why wasn't it successful?

Radio, too expensive, too hard to buy your way into markets. Yahoo, Match.com and Eharmony and Lavalife are each spending $10 million a month on marketing. How can you even come close to competing with them?

Can you share some of your favorite sources of inspiration and ideas? (e.g. certain blogs/books/magazines)

Never bothered reading books, magazines Just started reading blogs lately outside the dating world. For the most part I treated it as a video game, and defeat isn't an option you just find some way to win.

Any parting advice for other entrepreneurs trying to gain success with AdSense or other "eyeball/traffic"-oriented ventures?

Google pays out $500 million a quarter to AdSense users.  That money is going somewhere, and if you look at the top 1000 sites  not a hell of a lot of them have AdSense.  Statistically speaking those sites that have low numbers of users and high EPC [Earnings Per Click] will make the most money. Build sites that no one else has done before,  stuff only goes viral the first 1 or 2 times  after that you have to buy your way into a market.

Thanks again to Markus for sharing his thoughts.

This is a copy of a bulletin from Haddasah Ministries through MySpace. The words are always very powerful, very encouraging. You can sign up here:

When you're constantly on the lookout for limitations, you invite those limitations into your life. Choose instead to allow more of the goodness and wholeness that make life so beautiful and miraculous.
Keep your focus on the positive possibilities, and put your energy into bringing those possibilities to life. When you're busy with creative accomplishment, fewer troubles will be able to find you.

Allow your thoughts and actions to be in harmony with your most cherished values. Fill your moments with sincere expressions of love, gratitude and creativity.

If you see yourself as struggling and striving, you give power to fear, pain and despair. Choose instead to see yourself as making a positive difference, and give your power to the very best things you can imagine.

You never have to live on the level at which everything is a problem or a conflict. You can decide to live on a higher level at which every situation is an opportunity to invoke and to express life's goodness.

In each moment, allow that goodness to stream into your world. With each day, lovingly bring to life the value that is yours to create.
