Hello Rebelicious fans! Hope everyone is doing well.
It has been a long time since we blogged last, but this is going to be a weekly thing from now on. So make sure you check the website every Thursday for a new blog.
We have been keeping very busy as of late, playing numerous shows over the past few weeks. Most recently we played at Bahama Joe's in Richmond. If you have never been there and live in decent traveling distance, you have to make one of our shows. This place is CRAZY! 7 bars on 2 levels, cages for the ladies to dance in hanging over the stage(now thats what I call Rebelicious)!
We played at Ned Devine's in Centreville a couple weeks ago for the WMZQ Coats for Kids Drive and I have to say it was a big success. Jeffro and the staff from WMZQ were awesome and we want to thank them and Ned's for sponsoring the event. We debuted our newest single that day, a catchy little tune called "Buck Wild". It is still a work in progress but I believe it is going to be a big song for us.
We are still working on the full length album, getting closer to completion everyday. We will have some new shirts and merchandise up for sale soon as we get ready to start our Built to Last 09' Tour next year. We would love any feedback or ideas also from you, the fans, as you are the one's that we are here for. If you have any ideas for merch or even music, let us know. We love to hear from our fans.
We have made a change in the band as well. Doug Marsh is the new bass player for the band. Check out his bio on our page, Doug has been around country music for over 30 years and adds a whole new aspect to the band. We wish our former bass player Jim Bledsoe the best of luck in his ventures and thank him for all the hard work he put into the band.
We do want to take the time to keep one of our fans in your thoughts. She has been an avid fan since day one, as most of you have. Bella has endured a lot over the last year and she has always kept her chin high thru it all. She is a great inspiration to the band and me especially. If you get the chance check out her myspace page and send her a note letting her know you are thinking about her. www.myspace.com/isabelalegria
On a music front note, we have been talking with a few different people in the music biz, one of which is a local musician with some big contacts. Pete Evick from the band Evick has expressed interest in working with us. Pete's band is also the solo band perfoming with Bret Michaels. We are really excited to have Pete wanting to jump on board. Makre sure you check out his bands page at www.myspace.com/evick.
Well thats all for know friends. Check back next week for the second installment of our blogs.
Have a great weekend and stay Rebelicious!
Mike
