Current mood:  cantankerous
It has been sometime since our last blog update, but do not dispair my fair faithful readers and Jon. The EP recording process is progressing slowly, BUT it is none-the-less progressing. In the words of the sage Losta Heart: "Slow and steady wins the race!"

I guess that doesnt really apply, seeing as how this is not really a race. Actually it isn't a race at all. ....oh dear.

Anyways, onwards and upwards. So far we have done all the drum tracks and bass tracks. Gary, who is so graceiouslly helping us with this project of ours, has recently moved and obviously requires some time to unpack and setup his computer. For now the EP is on hold for a week or so. The good news is that Kelsey, our violinist, will be back from her summer hermit experience in the northern reaches of the country. She'll be back right on time to add her sweet violin licks to our recordings. We secretly hope that she brought back as much gold as possible from the mountains up there. Some old guy who was drinking a bottle with a few 'X' on the label told me that there is a lot of gold there.

In conclusion; love one, love all. And please look out for Man-Bear-Pig. He is a threat to us all. I'm super cereal you guys.

Current mood:  pure
It has come to our attention that in order to gain "street cred" one must first "roll on twenties" and then one must "record an ep"

Well I'm tired of rolling over the limited contents of my bank account. We began recording some such today that I think eventually you will enjoy. I say "eventually" because we only started to today, and it is a process that takes some time and effort and may ruin friendships. I also say "you" because I assume that I'm not the only one who reads this. Assumptions are wrong usually, but here's hoping against hope.

Anyway, even if it's just so I can practice my typing, I'll try and posts regular updates on our progress and some such here. Keep your eyeballs on open and your browser also on open. KEEP EVERYTHING WELL ENOUGH OPEN MY FRIEND.

Hey all,

I hope you are all ready to come out and party on the 17th. As much as we are excited to play this show we also wish it didn't have to take place. I know I remember the first time I heard 11:11 at club saw years ago. I still have the free EP that Curtis was throwing out into the crowd.

Come out to support VR and the other wonderful bands playing (The Love Machine and Brights) and show some love!!

Our dear violinist/ signature girl person Kelsey has decided to live out the rest of her (summer) days in bitter seclusion up in Yellowknife. Once there she will smash rocks, drink improvised booze, and probably act a damn fool. We lament the loss of our dear comrade and wish her and her liver the best of luck.

Live long and prosper, Kelsey. And may the force be with you.

Current mood:  electric
I had a big fancy news blog post action item up here and then I went and deleted it all because it was too good. The the general idea behind it was that you should go to a show on the 15th of March. That show should feature These Electric Lives, The Junction, and local badass sassmouths The Love Machine. This show should be at Barrymores and you should pay seven (7) dollars in advance to see it. If you can't pay in advance you should probably wait in line for no less than three (3) days in advance at the door of barrymores. When you are finally allowed inside get One (1) drink of water and pay Ten (10) dollars to see the show.

Also we'll be playing. We'll be really good. I swear it.
