What’d you think we’ve been doing these past two years, sitting around with our thumbs up our asses? Well you’re only half right; there’s no time for Persona to be just sitting around. So since the January 2007 release of our debut full length ‘CRYPTIC MYSTIC’, we spent at least a year working on new material, and jamming it out till our brains were sore. Then we scraped up enough cash, headed off to Justin Koop’s B-Town Sound in Burlington, ON to record 3 new songs to 5 tracks, which span about 36 minutes.

The title track is a 25-minute conceptual behemoth which was ultimately separated into three parts (or tracks) for aesthetic accessibility, and is sandwiched between the opening song, ‘Gone Cold’, which will be our new single, and ‘Bridge’, the album’s roaring ender. For those who braved the quite improvised ’07 full length, you can look forward to some new improvements including a year’s worth of cognitive song writing, exhaustive pre-production, sonic quality of ridiculous proportions (mixed and mastered by Koop himself), ameliorated vocal lines, and the occasional inclusion of synthesizer, piano and trumpet to the soundscape.

‘Gone Cold’ will be added to our MySpace and Facebook sites within days, or even hours, so keep your eyeballs peeled for that; let us know what you think, yea or nay. Your opinion is invaluable to us, you being the listener, we, the dancing monkeys onstage. We’ve got to make some bananas off this release.

Matt Ashwood is currently designing the album artwork; Persona is shopping around for a good pressing deal, and the whole EP will be available sometime this fall, this year! God what a wait; almost two years for less than forty minutes of music. It will all be worth it though, like the childish anticipation of Christmas morn’, and we’ll be gettin’ it out to ya for the most reasonable price we can. Till then, chew on the new song. So the new 5 song EP, "The Muse" was practically ALL recorded in about 10 hours a few Saturdays ago by Justin Koop at the prestigious B-Town Sound studio in Burlington, ON.

We're heading back in on July 25th to do some vocals, a trumpet solo, and mix it all down. then there is the mastering and artwork and pressing to be done.

We reserve some speculation as to whether this will be completed by September 12th, which was when we were to head out west, touring and promoting the album for three weeks. On top of the time-crisis, Persona was expecting label support for the financing of post-production, and that has sadly fallen through.

The combination of time- and money-restraints has caused us to cancel our fall tour out west, in order to finish the album without limitation; and we will be planning an Ontario tour afterward, as well as some smaller trips to Quebec.

If you wish to hear The Muse EP in its entirety, at least one full month before its release, we will be performing it, front-to-back, at this year's Rock The Mill festival, at 12:30pm at Dickson Park, Cambridge, on Saturday, August 9th.

Well, we're checking out some studios for a new EP we'll be recording soon. It'll be released in September 2008 just in time for our West coast tour.

The EP will be titled 'The Muse'. The title track will actually be a three-track, half-hour song, to be sandwiched between an intro and an outro song, respectively.

So that's five new tracks comin' up soon, roughly forty minutes of new material. That's what we've been up to.

Sorry to all for the lack of updates my computer crashed and so we have to find alternate arrangements for the internet. So here I sit in Winnipeg on the internet beside some perv who is probably looking at midget porn. But yeah we are headed east, the west held some interesting times. Those are gone now. My bum smells really bad i can not take it have to shower soon. But all is well on the tour side. hope everyone is enjoying southern Ontario.

So we are in Vancouver right now and all is well. We are a little bored from all the driving and we really don't have a show until friday due to a cancelation. But we are alive and well. There will be some photos posted up any day now as long as we can get some wireless. But for now we are looking for shows. So we are off to the races.

So we picked up a few unexpected shows. One was at a KOA camp site we got to stay free as long as we played a quiet set that night. Then last night we played in THunder bay and made some awesome friends at the apollo bar. Thanks again to Matt Irvin and Sarah Burton for letting us play. We had a great time. But yeah I think I have to shit now so I will talk to you all later.

So it is Sunday Morning and we are stealing an internet connection from the dirtest Frat house I have ever seen. Luke just ran back from taking a piss saying bee's. hahahaha. But yeah last nights show was awesome. We would like to thank all of the friends and family that came out to support us on the first day of our trek. My balls are sticky.
