We are sad to announce that our great friend and fellow bandmember Winnifred Warburton died peacefully on New Years Day. Winnie was 101 but still had the mind of a much more youthful individual. She was a star in the early days of the band and was much loved by everyone in the band, at the bbc and the record label as well.



Winnie will always grace the front cover of our album 'Lust For Life' as our fitting tribute to her.

It's been another amazing year for The Zimmers. We've been to the US once, Germany Twice and all over the UK again. As you will know January sees us in Ireland for the first time and then who knows where we will be going!!!! We can't tell you too much but all we will say is that The Zimmers will be part of a major campaign in May and June 2009 which will put us back in the charts...We are back in the studio as soon as we are back from Ireland!!!

We are delighted to announce we've released a new video in time for Christmas. We hope you like it...we are very proud of it indeed.

Yes we are delighted to announce that the band will be in Dublin during 14-17 January doing a load of Press and PR. Then on the evening of the 16th we'll be live on THE LATE LATE SHOW. We can't wait we're really excited to be coming to Ireland!

Well we are delighted to announce that today (06.10.08) we have released our debut album 'Lust For Life'. This album has been incredibly hard work but we are just so proud of it. Everybody has worked so hard and it's already been a huge success with over 10,000 copies sold worldwide on pre order alone.

We are delighted to have uploaded a demo of one of the album tracks. You can now listen to 'When You're Smiling' and we are really impressed with the talents of the new york band WaxxMachine who co-produced the track with our London based producer Jez Larder from Shameless Talent. The song is sung by 97 year old New Yorker Jack Beers and our very own Grace Cook.

We are also pleased with the new website at www.thezimmersonline.com..it's got loads of new and exciting info/press/video and other things for you all to enjoy. We'll soon be uploading the video for the song 'old and wise' sung by our very own Peter 'Geriatric 1927' Oakley. You can also meet our newest zimmers on the website and catch up with what we are upto on a more regular basis.

The album will be available around September time and we are hoping that you all like what you hear as a taster...Keep Smiling!!!!

Dear Friends,

apologies for not getting Firestarter up when we said we would. It is nearly finished and the things we have been doing has meant that there hasn't been time for reecording. Anyway aftere our break in August, catching up with the Grandkids and getting some bingo in, we have hit september hard with trips all around the UK presenting ourselves and performing for politicians, celebrities..at Buster's 101st Birthday Party!..the list goes on and on.

We have recorded two new songs with a third and forth on their way. Alf has done a wonderful job recording Firestarter and equally as bold was Peter Oakley (aka Geriatric 1927) who has done a wonderful song called Old and Wise. We are shooting videos for both and are busily looking to get them out before christmas.

On top of that there is another US trip planned for one or two of us!

Hello everybody,

we are delighted to say we are back in the studio doing the next single. Alf knows the words and is getting all the moves right and we are delighted to announce that Peter (aka geriatric 1927) will be taking the lead on the B-side, a wonderful cover version of The Alan Parsons Project 'Old and Wise'

it's sounding very good.

Apart from that we have got a few live performances lined up, so we'll keep you informed.
