ok..sooo....OF COURSE I write blog about my night at the triple A with madonna...AND of course I put up some fabu pics....here goes!
this past saturday I attended Madonna's first stop in Miami with her Confessions Tour. Yes I loved the CD, yes I spent a nice chunk of money (sorry darling but $350 was ridiculous!) on tickets, yes I wait and wait the first half of 2006 for the show to make it's way down south, and OF COURSE I hardly remember the night!!!
Well yes yes, we decided to devote an entire weekend to that bitch and rented a quaint little hotel room (more dank than quaint) in bal harbor and had an awkwardly mediocre little getaway. Ok ok let's get to the show...so we begin drinking about 9am saturday morning pacing ourselves with only beer (and light beer...) but the rain of course drives us into our dank room forcing us to drink anything in sight. Yet while we got ready and rounded the troops we still contained ourselves because of course we wanted some of them $8 beers to quench our thirst in an 85 degree arena.
So we get to the arena...after spending $70 on a tour book and tee (i'm not complaining...they're super cute!) we settle ourselves with a drink in our seats.....not even having the time to settle in...the lights go off and BAM the disco ball is already dropping from the rafters. And she's there...in all her glory rocking the house (her rendition of "I feel Love" into "Future Lovers" was piercingly stunning!).
I'm sure all you reading this have seen the show so I won't get into much detail about the performance. "Jump" comes around and the middle stage get's stuck, but they pull it off flawlessly and I decide to run and get myself another beer (although I was already squinting a bit during the show cause she was becoming blurry...the earlier chugs of jack and coke were taking it's toll.) I run back only to find my section even more packed than before and not finding my fucking row! With no cell phone, no ticket stub, and no money the section attendant approaches me and asks if everything is alright, I advise i've lost my friend and i'm missing the fuckin show! He helps me look a bit (about 20 fuckin minutes!) and nothing....I could not find the bitch! So I ask him what should I do, which he then advises me that he's "...Sorry but you can't sit in this section any longer as it is too full and no empty seats are available."
He generously offers to escort me to the section next door and help me find a seat there only because he had remembered I was sitting in this section (look at the pic of me and Celina, how could you not remember our fucking faces...we're fantastic!) and felt bad on my behalf. So I'm a bit upset because I missed "Ray Of Light" which I really wanted to hear this tour's version of it. But luckily the only seat available in the section was the last seat by the railing all the way in the front row (Section 111 Row 1 Seat 1...fuckin AWESOME!!!), and that ladies and gentleman is the end to a WONDERFUL night...because the rest is a complete blur (except for bits and pieces that came back as I watched fan footage on You Tube just now...)
Don't ask me why, don't ask me how. Possibly my mind erased that part because of the trauma I actually felt while watching the show alone. Maybe the alcohol assumption increased to a point where it erased my memory...who the fuck can say...but that's all folks! Now the next thing I do remember somewhat clear is the projection screens on the stage floor of the "Hung Up" video which set something off in my head and I ran for the arena doors before anyone to make sure I try and find my friend (who just so happened to be like the first person out!) and then I bawl tears, over and over. Now we're walking to get a taxi, i've got to pee, and i'm ashamed at myself for what went down, but then I realize...fuck it, you actually went to the show and it's gonna be broadcasted on TV. So yea...my half night with Madonna...fanfuckintastic!!!!!
And now, here are some good shots we took, please keep in mind the later half of the show was taken by Celina (she figured since she couldn't find me...she would use this oppurtunity to snap some fotos of senorita cosa...and some great ones she did....props to you bitch!) enjizzoy!
