"SFJ"  -  Once again the amazing Jimmy sage on drums and John Alevizakas on bass.  I used many guitars on this track  along with Dobro and Mandolin. The main rhythm guitar part was an old Dobro tuned to GBDGBD  for the slide parts and the other acoustic guitar was my old standby Gibson J-200 Junior in standard tuning.The mandolin parts were played on an old Lyon and Healy tuned to GDAE.All the acoustic instruments were miked with AKG C 3000.The electric guitar solo and rhythm  parts were played on  my old Fender 52 Reissue Telecaster on the neck pickup into a Line 6 POD set to the Vintage Tweed mode. I was going to re due the Tele parts with my Super Reverb but I was happy with the sounds I got on the POD and kept them on the tune!

"20 Years Gone" This  was  pure and simple...A little solo guitar tune!  My old Gibson ES-125 with single P 90 pickup on the neck into Bogner Shiva with Boss analog delay pedal and amp reverb miked with Shure SM57.

"  A Farmers Daughter" - This is the first tune that will be on my all new electric instrumental cd. I used an amazing rhythm section Jimmy sage on drums and Rob Fordyce on bass.

The main rhythm track is my old Danelectro  with a single lipstick pickup. It  is  tuned to DADGAD , the bottleneck slide parts are also  played on the Danelectro tuned to open  D -DADF#AD- the lapsteel is played on an old Gibson also tuned to DADF#AD for the melody and the volume swells. The crunch guitars are a  Gibson Les Paul Special in standard tuning with old P 90s from  1960. Amps used were an old Fender Vibrolux Reverb and Bogner Shiva. Effects were Distortion channel Bogner,  Fulltone FullDrive 2, old Boss analog delay pedal and Chandler Digital Echo.The reverb was from both amps. Both amps were miked with a Shure SM-57

Hi Everyone

I am really excited about new new up coming cd. I just finished the first 3 tunes and hope to have more done soon...  2 songs have the amazing Jimmy Sage on drums and bass players Rob Fordyce and multi instrumentalist and producer John Alevizakas. The 3rd tune is just me and my old Gibson ES-125. I try to find the time to work on the tunes  between my teaching, session work and live gigs.

The songs are "A Farmers Daughter"  - "S4J" and  "20 Years Gone" Check them out and I would enjoyed hearing from you. Soon I will post the guitars, amps and tunings used.
