Hey all. So it's travel blog time again! It's 5:30am and I'm sitting in Newark Airport in NJ, waiting for my flight to Jacksonville, FL. I haven't been to sleep yet and just had a nice breakfast and some coffee to keep me going! I just got off stage a few hours ago at Delaney's in New Haven, CT. We had a great show and a good turnout last night. Brad and I were joined by Tom Darby ..s for the night, which made it a really fun night as Tom hasn't played Delaney's with us in about a year. We shot home after the gig and I had time to shower and pack and get here! I am heading to St. Georges Island, FL for the Rock By The Sea event. It's going to be a great weekend and I'm really looking forward to it. I have to fly into Jacksonville first though and then get my rental car and drive four hours to St. Georges Island. Tallahassee was a much closer airport, but was also $400+ from the onset of trying to book my air and actually got as high as $700!!! Cant freakin' believe that. So I found air into Jacksonville for $260 and a four hour drive. No biggie as I'm used to the long drives anyway!

So, Rock By The Sea…I'm pretty pumped to be on this bill. It's not only a great bill, but it's full of some great friends of mine that I've shared stages with before…Ken & Drew from Sister Hazel, Jackson Rohm, Michael Tolcher, Five Star Iris, The Scarlet Kings, Chuck Carrier, Wide Awake and Gareth Asher. Gareth and I are also joining up with Akiva in a few weeks to do a nice Northeast tour. So, there's supposed to be a kick off party tonight and then the actual event is Friday and Saturday with music starting at 5:00pm both nights and going until who knows when! LOL….I am playing at 8:30pm and 9:30pm each night respectively. There will hopefully be a great turnout for this event. This is it's second year and last year was supposed to have been awesome. It's a benefit show for Lyrics For Life, who I've worked with before. They are a charity organization started by Ken Block from Sister Hazel who lost his younger brother to Leukemia some years ago. I'm always glad to work with them.

This has been a crazy week and is only going to get crazier! I had 4 gigs last week and a very hectic Sunday working with a new studio client, Lisa Coppola. I am co-writing, engineering and producing her upcoming CD and we spent about 6-7 hours in the studio Sunday. I had a busy night with general stuff after that. Monday was spent at Ariel Publicity where I have been working as their Director Of Indie Sales and Affiliates. I LOVE Ariel like mad and am learning so much working with her. Then Monday night was another writing session. Tuesday was a long conference call in the afternoon and then the first show of my new radio show along with Rick Williams. It's called "On The Road With John & Rick…LIVE!". We broadcast every Tuesday night at 6:00pm for 90-minutes. It was a fun show and though we have some things to learn, it came off well for a first show! We broadcast on BlogTalkRadio.com, so come on by and check us out sometime. After that it was another conference call for work and finally to bed. Wednesday was a crazy day with CD Duplication jobs and running back and forth from Walmart to get CD sleeves to home to pack CDs and off to Fedex and then shoot to a gig. Total non-stop, but I loved it.

I've been very lucky the last few years and it just keeps getting better and better!! I just did my taxes for 2007 and it gave me a good snapshot of what my year was like. I invested a lot into my business, mostly my studio and road work…cant believe I ate $3000 worth of food on the road last year! LOL…Looking at this year, I'm already ahead of my pace from last year in all aspects. So it's feeling pretty good. I've branched out to a few new ventures that weren't initially on the game plan for the year, but that's the way it should be.

Ok…well, they are about to board so gotta go. I'll write more throughout the weekend and blog onto the web as I can! Talk soon.

******************************************

So I got to Jacksonville after a pretty uneventful flight. I slept through half of it thankfully as it'll be the only hour of sleep I probably get today! Lol. I got my rental car and made the 4 hour drive to St. George Island and met Beth, the promotor at Harry A's. That's the venue we are playing at all weekend. We had some lunch and then Beth scooted off to take care of some business. My buddy Jackson Rohm arrived and we hung out on the beach for an hour or so until our house was ready. There are a bunch of us in this house…me, Jackson, Michael Tolcher, Gareth Asher and Chuck Carrier as well as some friends who might be stopping in… So we are here at this gorgeous house on the beach, on a perfect sunny day and all I have to do to earn my keep here is play some music. Not too shabby. We are going to go stock the fridge with alcoholic beverages, wait for the other guys to get here and then all sit on the deck and relax as we have no shows until tomorrow. Pretty awesome. This is why I do this in the first place! LOL.

Ok, I'll blog throughout the weekend and keep you all up on the travels! Comment away…

Hey Tag Teamers!

I'm not sure if you've noticed the Tag Team page getting a complete makeover...but your Team has been taken over by bandits who are on the move. I'm kidding, maybe.

We're here to revolutionize the world of the John Taglieri fan! A street team is a bunch of fans working together to promote an artist they care about. Our mission statement is to have fun while we make John famous. Sound good? Good.

We bandits hail from Off the Mic, a promotion & support company helping artists we believe in to get their music out there. OTM currently includes 3 very special ladies & I'm going to introduce them!

Sadie is the founder of the company & the woman we call 'boss' when we're not calling her 'sexy.' She's been working in the industry for 3 1/2 years now & this girl does nothing but bust her ass! When she's not on the road or tied to her computer, she enjoys reading, food, caffeine, food, eating, food & ice cream.

Jet, the former new girl, is the youngest of the crew (something she's often teased for). She intends to start college as a music business major next year & hopes to follow musicians around for a long, long time. She also enjoys speaking in foreign tongues & writing bios about herself in the third person.

Addy, the newest & definitely the hottest of the group (therefore named 'teh hawtness'), brings the sweet southern flavor that we northern girls can't beat! She loves coffee & Ding Dongs as much as she loves music. She has three wonderful sons, one wonderful wife (slash husband, you'll figure it out), is an aspiring photographer & also runs Babes For Rock.

Now that you've read our introductory ramble (get used to it), we want to know about YOU, Tag Teamers. Since we're going to be working together, it's only fair you introduce yourselves too. Please drop us a line, tell us who you are & what you think. We would really appreciate it!

Rock on, y'all!
