My newest song is a song for my baby son (first song on my myspace music player) and I wanted to share the lyrics. There is a line about "the finish line" which was inspired by a moment on a drive from Tahoe to San Diego when I was stuck behind a trailer by a double yellow line (i.e. no passing). For 40 minutes I'm stuck staring at the back of this trailer and it read on the back of it "The Finish Line." I thought the fact that I was moving toward the finish line but never getting closer was a metaphor for how life can feel sometimes. I thought it too ironic to not snap a pic.

This Thanksgiving, were are manning up and not only are we stuffing the turkey with a duck and that duck with a chicken. We figured why stop there. We're stuffing the chicken with a fish, and then putting the whole thing inside a pig, shoving that inside a sheep, stuffing that into a deer and that into a cow. And it shall be a masterpiece, a feast for all. And it shall be called the Beevenilamporturduckenish.

We took part in another protest for equality today in downtown San Diego and it was huge (20000 plus). Everyone had a great energy and the vibe was super positive. I got lots of homo love, thumbs ups and a hug from a lesbian, all for one of my signs "Heteros for Homos". I even got interviewed by channel 10 ABC news so I was happy to give them my spiel.

Yesterday, my wife and I made a sign and joined a protest down at the San Diego Mormon temple to bring more attention to the injustice of taking the right of marriage away from gay couples (Mormon's have been accused of spending the most money for advertising opposing gay marriage).

It was vocal and peaceful and I we got some news coverage so it felt productive. There's going to be big protest down at San Diego City Hall this Saturday 10:30am and we'll be going for sure.
