While on the stand, Nick Grunke admitted he planned to take the young woman's body home with him, but says sex was not on his mind. Nick Grunke said, "I was going to take it to a clearing in the woods and just kind of spend time with it....(ok, but not have sex with it?) No."

Grunke described a scene from the movie, "I'll Bury You Tomorrow" in which the main character slow danced with a corpse. He said he only planned to emulate what he saw in that movie.

HORROR SOCIETY
REVIEW

REVIEW QUOTES

“Kelly’s best film thus far!”
TONY TIMPONE / FANGORIA MAGAZINE

"This film is a f**king diamond!"
ANDREW ROSE/ HORROR MOVIE FANS / INDY RADIO

“The future of hard-edge horror is in very capable hands - The cast brings this feral inbred to full fruition with a pantheon of gruesome goodies that has to be seen to be believed! It’s sure to be one of the horror film highlights of 2009! I give it 10 Cleavers!!”
WILL COLBY/ KILLINGBOXX

“Kelly succeeds in moving outside the box. The realistic concept made the film more personal prone to its frightening grip. A Far Cry From Home achieves goals crucial to producing quality gay cinema - definitely a cinematic step in the right direction.”
DOOR Q

“One of the best horror thrillers I've seen in a very long time, if not ever…Truly flawless horror.”
DUANE L. MARTIN/ ROGUE CINEMA

“This gory tale will scare you fine! Kelly’s persuasive performance and bloody last gasp are certain to become a cult favorIte.”
ON TOP MAGAZINE

“A Far Cry From Home beautifully takes the stereotypes of backwoods horror and gives it a violent social and political thrust, giving this mini-opus a true subtlety of purpose.”
BRIAN KIRST/ HORROR SOCIETY

“…extremely dark, fast-paced, gory, and well made. The courageous plotline is indicative of Kelly's mindfulness of the changing nature of horror movies and touching the modern minds of his audience.”
HEIDI MARTINUZZI/ PRETTY SCARY

This week, 11/2/2008 on HorrorMovieFans. com Radio:

All times are Central Time Zone.

First up, it's Parrish Randall and his guest co-host, Alan Rowe Kelly on HorrorMovieFans. com Indie Horror Radio.

Alan Rowe Kelly is an independent horror film producer, writer, director, and actor.
I'LL BURY YOU TOMORROW and THE BLOOD SHED are HorrorMovieFans. com Indie Horror Radio favorites and are available now on DVD through Amazon. com.
He has just finished work on THE GALLERY OF FEAR, an anthology of short films including his own A FAR CRY FROM HOME. Alan's current project is a retelling of S.F. Brownrigg's drive-in indie classic "DON'T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT.
"

Alan and Parrish will interview Susan Adriensen at 7:05 PM.

Susan is a very talented independent horror filmmaker and actress. She wrote, produced, directed, edited, and acted in her film UNDER THE RAVEN'S WING. She's starred in Alan Rowe Kelly's THE BLOOD SHED and GALLERY OF FEAR, James Tucker's PINK EYE, and Pete Jacelone's SCULPTURE.

At 7:40 PM we'll feature the weekly filmBRAWL DVD Reivew of the week!

Alan and Parrish then interview the incredibly talented actress Zoe Daelman Chlanda at 7:45 PM.

Following several theater, film and television credits, Zoe landed her first staring role in Alan Rowe Kelly's 2002 cult classic I'LL BURY YOU TOMORROW, "as the very creepy, beautiful and maniacally disturbed", Dolores Finley. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Firelights Shocks Film Festival in 2002 and placed into indie horror history with her magnificent portrayal of a woman looking for love in all the wrong places.

She continues to appear on television in commercials and feature films such as VULGAR, VINDICATION, PINK EYE and THE BLOOD SHED. She has also been cast in the role of Dr. Theodora Masters in the upcoming Alan Rowe Kelly retelling of DON'T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT.
