Hey all!

Okay, so here's the deal...

There are a lot of great unsigned artists in Nashville, both bands and solo artists.

We're all facing the same struggle to reach more people.

The biggest problem each of us faces is generally the same: "preaching to the choir."

See if this sounds familiar: you have worked hard to develop a fanbase. You book a local show. To promote, you invite your friends, you hang posters, you send out myspace bulletins and you email your mailing list. And at each gig, you end up with, basically, the same devoted group of friendly faces filling the crowd.

Although you appreciate the support of these folks dearly, let's face it: they already know your music, they already love ya and they already own your CDs. The goal is to continually bring in more folks who will discover your music and end up just as devoted to supporting it as your current fans.

So how do you reach more of these people?

How do you expand and grow your fanbase, when you don't have the benefit of major record label funds and radio airplay behind you?

We think the smartest choice is for bands who are all in this same boat to join forces and share fanbases.

When bands join forces and cross-promote through shared shows, everybody wins. Each artist gets their music exposed to new fans, and the fans are exposed to great new music. (Not only at the shows, but on our individual myspace pages and this page.)

The concept is obviously nothing new, but it works. There's strength in numbers.

This is why we have formed The Alliance Nashville.

***

We're looking for great new local artists to add to the lineup. The Alliance's goal is to establish a presence and a reputation with the public and the best Nashville venues, while building a sense of community among a great group of local artists.

It's not an exclusive booking agreement we're talking about for those who join The Alliance. All bands involved are totally free to book as many other shows as they want outside of The Alliance shows. This concept is simply just trying to provide one more avenue for all the bands involved to get their music in front of more new people on a fairly regular basis.

We're mostly interested in hook-heavy soul or pop/rock acts (both full bands and acoustic solo artists), so that our sets will complement each other well while still giving the audiences a bit of variety. But we're not genre-exclusive.

We are open to considering any artist who is interested.

It's pretty simple.

If you're:
- good at what you do
- have built a local following
- can keep a crowd entertained for 45 minutes or so
- are willing to help cross-promote
- are interested in expanding your fanbase
...then you are the perfect candidate.

Things are going to be rolling soon. We're launching June 23rd, with the serious promo & bookings kicking in through July & August and beyond.

If you're interested in joining, or maybe simply jumping on a show or two to try it out, email us and let's talk.
