What a festival! We had our minds blown apart by the incredible reception in Rennes - best gig we've played without a doubt so huge thanks to everyone who was there.

Also one of the best markets I've been to. I picked up a picture I like a lot, and Marcus nearly came home with a pair of stuffed dogs.

We're already making plans to come back to France in the first half of next year. Can't wait.

Very late notice but we're just getting everything together for our gig at Transmusicales on Thursday - our first time playing outside the watery boundaries of the United K.

So far we've packed power adaptors and a single toothbrush.

Also just done a mixtape for the Voice of Cassandra blog in Belgium

(which you can find here:    http://blogs.myspace.com/voiceofcassandremixtape)

And an interview with French webzine Kub3

(which is here:   http://www.kub3.fr/)

At plan-changingly short notice we've just been asked up to Manchester tomorrow to do a live session for Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music.

Not yet sure exactly when we appear but the show starts at 7.

And in a week of good, Steve Lamacq's christened Bang Bang Cherry 'Alternative Single of the Week'.

Remixes also complete for My Tiger My Timing and Colourmusic. Really pleased with both. Heavy heavy bass all over the place. In your face. Like Princess Grace.

As well as new songs of our own we're currently working on remixes for a great couple of bands, My Tiger My Timing and Colourmusic.

Both should be out by the end of the summer - as if summer's ever going to end.

It's our first go at working on other people's material like this, but it's a great way to spend time, picking through other people's sounds and working out how to put them together. Like making a birthday card by cutting up World of Interiors.

And at the same time Micron 63 is doing a remix of Bang Bang Cherry which we can't wait to hear.

We'll keep you posted.

Our next single will be Bang Bang Cherry, coming out through the excellent Pure Groove label as download and limited 7" on 10th August. The b-side will be They'll Get Your Head.

The keenest of you can pre-order here:

Nasheed Faruqi is in the final stages of recutting her brilliant archive-footage video to fit this slightly sped up version of the track.

And for sped up, read fired / cut / pumped / souped and generally wired up.

Our Rob Da Bank session is being aired this Sunday night on Rrrrrradio 1.

3 songs - Chainsaws, Race for the Bone and Bang Bang Cherry - plus carefully considered introductions we're recording on Thursday morning.

We're going to be up a hill in Ireland for the broadcast. Any tips for getting reception very welcome.

Our track They'll Get Your Head is included on the truly wunderbar compilation BRAND NEU!, a collection of work inspired by the great Kraut duo NEU! released through Feraltone on 11th May.

Alongside people like Foals, LCD Soundsystem and Cornelius, the record includes new work by Michael Rother, as well as the last piece Klaus Dinger recorded before his death last year.

For anyone who hasn't heard their stuff, try Fur Immer from NEU! 2 in clear weather on a straight piece of motorway.
