you will need to bring your own materials, easel and equipment etc.
I'm hoping we all work with Oil... but Watercolor or Acrylic is ok too

Models will be Nude, so doing a full-figure is possible, but the focus of the workshop will be 'the portrait'

With 10 years teaching experience i've had the chance to work with the 'absolute beginner' and with people who have been painting for many years.
so your personal level of experience is Not an issue... in fact it generally makes for a better overall experience to have a range of proficiency among the group.
this allows us to cover very basic principles, all the way to more advanced visual mark making.

the workshop will begin promptly at 11am
I will start by doing an hour-long 'Demo'
we'll spend the rest of the time painting as a group, with a short break squeezed in at some point.

I encourage everyone to bring in a piece that's in progress or they've done in the past, so we
can all have a look at each others work to get an idea of our individual direction or style and process.
I'll try to make myself available to crit those pieces if anyone is interested.

*if you would like to drop by and just watch, (not paint) that would be ok but the cost is the same


And also, for those in Europe, I'm working on finding a space to do a 3-day Painting workshop in Rome, Italy during the first week of February 2010.
the Workshop will be in cooperation with Mondo Bizzarro Gallery, and will coincide with my participation in the "Ultra Erotica" group show which opens Jan. 30th 2010

As some of you already know "Daddy's Girl" is a portrait of the beautiful Apnea, of Apneatic.com

The original oil painting was painted in 2003-04 and sold in 2005
and now sits in a Private Collection in LA CA
