Our first GetAMPED Magazine Showcase is taking place on June 22nd (20 days from today) at The French Quarter and we need your help! 

In addition to a Kick Ass Show, we'll be giving away Dean Guitar stuff as well as some Daisy Rock Guitar stuff for the ladies. Guys!!! The ladies will be out in record numbers so don't miss this Golden Opportunity. GetAMPED Magazine is proudly going to be awarding one of our Showcase musicians with an ENDORSEMENT DEAL from one of the industries premier guitar makers and a custom made guitar to go along with it!  All on our stage on the 22nd of June!   Wait! There is more!  Studio Time and Disc Duplication packages will also be awarded so don't miss it!

One more thin Jacksonville, When you come out on the 22nd, bring your friends and plan on staying the whole night because, you'll never know what we have up our sleeves as the night proceeds.  Don't Miss It!!!

 
We also need more correspondents for the magazine. Please let me know if you have an interest in having your opinion heard. Our magazine site is getting tons of hits daily and we need to keep the content as fresh as possible. We can help you turn your Rock and Roll Fantasy come true.

I almost forgot!  Don't forget to tune into www.darkcloudradio.net on Monday night's from 10:00 - 12:00 for the GetAMPED Magazine Radio Show. Laura and I will be playing some of rock's best music and talking about the music and the people who make it great. We put together an interesting mix and will have some surprise guests as well. Don't Miss It!  If our airtime is past your bedtime :) you can tune in for our re-play on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Hello GetAMPED readers!

I just got off the phone with the front man from one of our featured "Showcase" bands. He informed me that they signed a deal today with a label. Was he stoked? Shit yeah! You must be wondering why I have not reveled who this band is. We must wait until the ink is dry my droogies. No seriously, I'm not at liberty to disclose all the info just yet however, I will tell you that I have arrainged to have this indiviual (we call him Joe for now) to keep a GetAMPED exclusive diary of his experience from the signing through recording, through touring so you all can read and learn from his path. Exciting, isn't it?  Stay tuned and I will have more for you very soon.

Attention Florida & Georgia Bands!!!

GetAMPED Magazine will be holding a series of band showcases in the greater Jacksonville, Florida area.  If you are a band and wishes to be considered for a slot, email us a request (see below, do not reply to this message) for us to check out your mySpace page. If you know a band that wants to be exposed, send this to them.

BUT FIRST!!!  PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE TO SEE WHAT WE'RE ABOUT!

The criteria for picking bands will be:
Genre
Following (nobody will be impressed if only three people come to see you)
Exposure (What we really mean is OVER-Exposure)
Work Ethic (If you like to play but don't like to promote yourself, stay home)

The down selected will be in-line to open for a larger act therefore gaining the right exposure instead of what everyone usually promises. 

Oh yeah, and we'll feature you (if you make the cut) in our magazine.

PLEASE DON'T attach photos or music, we'll delete the message and you won't get exposed after all. Just send us the message that your interested. In other words, don't call us, we'll call you. 

Oh, yeah speaking of that, make sure you include a PHONE NUMBER THAT WORKS PLEASE!  NO PHONE NUMBER = NO EXPOSURE!!!

In addition, we're adding a showcase section to our website this week. The showcase section will be seen by industry professionals and fans alike. If you wish to be added to the showcase page, a banner (480 X 60, 50k) must be emailed to us at exposeme@getampedmag.com . There is a very small programing charge in order to be included on the site. Each banner will link back to either your mySpace page or website. Act quickly as the pages will fill up fast.
