We would like to thank all of you guys who came on Friday. We hope that you had a great time! We certainly did :)

For those who could not make it, we missed you guys! Hoping that the post Whitby blues/ lurgy is gone :)

Huge thank you to our guest DJ Nephilimbabe from The Coven (Luton) who once again got the dancefloor going. The Coven is back this Saturday by the way and we shall be there!

Thanks to our debutant guest DJ Wizardwolf who did his second appearance behind the decks.

Thanks to you guys, Elle, Joe, Smudge, Alix, Dvae, my beloved Craig and all of you for your ongoing support. None of this mayhem would be possible without you guys!

SO before it turns now into a Award Ceremony lengthy THANKS YOUS session, we would like most and foremost thanks DJ Rubix for starting the journey with us. We would still be trying to take off would you have not come on board :) We missed you on Friday.

So this is it. Last Alt+Ctrl for 2009 but we shall be back in 2010 so watch this space. Who knows, a Black Planet re-union night might be on the menu too.

Time to go back to the crypt for now while it is still dark and before the winter chill kicks in.

Hey guys!

What a great night we had!

Thank you to all of you who turned up at the Cure tribute gig hosted by No More Heroes Promotion with tribute band "Obsure" and then came downstairs afterwards to grace the dance floor of the after show party hosted by our good-selves.

It was nice to see you guys having fun and this is thanks to our long stanting guest DJ Nephilimbabe from the Coven in Luton who joined us again to make the night as beautifuly dark as it can be, as always.

I had great fun DJing alongside Nephilimbabe although feeling very nervous as always but seeing you guys on the dancefloor is what makes my night so HUGE thank you again for your support people extraordinaire! :)

Next night will be on Friday 11th September at Esquires Level 1 with Alt+Ctrl Fridays "Big Dark Alternative Marathon". Be prepared to hold on to the dancefloor with a festival of various dark alternative genres played by a multitude of DJs. We challenge you ;) And if you want to have more of the DJ Nephilimbabe's dancefloor experience then don't miss out The Coven in Luton the following day, Saturday 12th September. Who said that Goths get bored in Bedfordhire??? :)

Gig + Disco, £7 all in!

Playing tonight "Obscure" The Cure tribute band + support. Doors open at 7pm, finishes around midnight than the party carries on in the club downstairs "Obscure after show party" with Djane AwayWiveZefairies and DJ Nephilimbabe, spinning more dark alternative classics mixed with electro for good measure till 2am!

Hey all!

Sorry about the delay in posting about one of our most fun and successful Alternative Control nights to date!

Friday 17th of July was an absolute blast and we have to thank our brilliant guest DJ's as well as you lot who turned up for such a great night!

In no particular order but ladies first :) DJane Velouria Rose, DJ Martin Oldgoth and DJ Nephilimbabe definitely made the night! Huge thank you guys, it was an absolute honor and delight to have you here! And obviously without forgetting Brigitte, Loopy and Graham! Thanks for your support guys :)

The night obviously would have not been the same without you all who came to grace our dancefloor! Your support is ever so important. We put the nights together for you guys and it is the greatest reward to see you enjoying themselves. And there was a lot of that happening :) Unfortunately, the camera let us down on that night so there is no pics of the lovely girls in their cute 50's outfits to show off. Nonetheless, I am sure that we all keep the best souvenir photos in our minds (note to self: make sure the re-chargeable batteries are not left on the plug at home once we got to the venue :P). If you guys have pics of the night don't hesitate to share them with us! Just drop us a line on myspace or facebook.  Cheers :)

So all is good really, We could not be happier and looking forward to the next Alternative Control which should be an interesting challenge. See if you guys can keep up with our "Big Dark Alternative Marathon" on Friday 11th of September. Expect a dark alternative genres frenzy played by various DJs who already graced the decks of Alternative Control and Black Planet. Get your dancing shoes ready guys! ;)

Also, we have been kindly invited to take over the decks and play all that is dark alternative, Goth, Post Punk and Darkwave at the after show party of the "Obscure" The Cure Tribute Band gig on Saturday 15th of August in the downstairs club while Pete will be sniping Motown / Mods tunes in the Dany's bar opposite.  Quite a night in itself!

So two dates to pencil in your diary guys:

SAT 15th AUGUST: "OBSCURE" The Cure Tribute Band (+support) brought by No More Heroes Promotions at Esquires Level 2 from 7pm+ After Show party with Sister Moon Promotions DJs playing Dark Alternative, Goth, Post Punk, Darkwave @ Esquires Level 1 from 10.30pm.
