Grayskul + Maker = Graymaker! Pre-Order Available Now!
Rhymesayers/Oldominon emcees JFK & Onry Ozzborn, better known as Grayskul, have teamed up with indie superstar beatsmith Maker to form Graymaker! The new album drops Tuesday, October 27th, and a special pre-order package is available from SFRstore.com! Every pre-order from SFRstore will include an 11×17 Graymaker poster personally SIGNED by JFK, Onry, and Maker! Click here to pre-order your copy! Click here for your free download of the first single, “Crazy Talk”! Here’s what the supergroup’s record label has to say about the album: “Jeffery Bautista, Michael Martinez, and Marco Jacobo bring to you GRAYMAKER,
a Robert Plant meets RZA like project that’s destined for that classic
territory of repeat play for years to come. GRAYMAKER is made up of two
of the founding members of Oldominion and Rhymesayers Entertainment
artist Grayskul, JFK / Ninjaface and Onry Ozzborn / Cowen plus super producer Maker of Galapagos4
/ Glue. Grayskul and Maker have joined forces to bring to you an
exclusive, limited edition, 11 song full-length CD titled GRAYMAKER
brought to you by Taxidermy Records. From song to song they take
you on an expedition a journey that will get you high if your feeling
low, It’s powerful enough to make you sit down and think. Shit! Might
be strong enough to make you put down your drink. From track to track
the CD moves from being woke-up by their kids early in the morning for
cereal to dealing with addiction and then on to that old hip hop
bravado, talking about being better then you! All the way to girls,
being judged by your peers, faith, and fictitious wordplay exploring
real life situations. GRAYMAKER is easily one of the most straight
up, in your face, strictly Hip Hop albums that Grayskul has ever
brought fourth in their career. With the wardrobe that was provided by
Maker Grayskul really had no choice but to come hard, and as real as
life itself. With both Maker and Grayskul being seasoned vets in
this beautiful thing we call Hip Hop this collaboration is left
sounding polished and matured in a way only matched by experience and
trial. Collectively these 3 artist have stood tall with the likes of
Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Glue, Abstract Rude, Living Legends, Qwel, Ill
Bill, Qwazaar, Awol One, P.O.S., Slug and many many others through
collaborations, tours, handling of each others production and just
straight standing side by side and punching a mark in the face! GRAYMAKER
is exactly the type of thing that is needed not only in Hip Hop but in
the music world altogether. This New CD by Grayskul and Maker is a
reminder that cadence, substance, taking chances, and just plain upping
your SPIT and production is still OK to show and prove in this here
music.” Click here to pre-order your copy!

The path was not paved with diamonds, guns, big name international DJ's and glossy towel-sized fliers, nor with a website or message board to call their own, but simply by enthusiastic word-of-mouth promotion among an ever growing, always receptive circle of friends and acquaintances... peers, if you will……. Now after 6.5years of of success, The Blunt Club is taking a step upward into a bigger arena. The Legendary Arizona Thursday night is moving into it's 4th venue in it's illustrious span. The Blunt will now be able to accommodate a much bigger audience, with a capacity of 350 on the opening night of Jan. 10, and enlarging to 550 about a month after that. It includes a 1200 sq. foot raised professional dance floor, state of the art sound and lighting to enhance the already great atmosphere. With the new home, will also come a new format. "Actually it's kind of more like bringing back the original format" says Blunt Club founder Dumperfoo. When the night started it was mostly a Spoken word night with Artists spread throughout the club on easels painting live, and DJ's that kept the party going in between poets. So, once again The Blunt Club will feature live poets starting off each night along side some of the premier artists in the valley painting live every show. There will be 6 resident painters, 3 full time and 3 rotating that will be spread around the club adding to the ambiance. DJ Element, one of the foremost B-Boy DJ's in the nation is returning to his former home at The Blunt. Bringing back the Spoken Word and catering to the B-Boys with the amazing dance floor is sure to guarantee the infamous Blunt Club vibe that everyone has come to embrace. Feb 5th - Busdriver@bluntclub- Killah Priest Cancelled
.. .. Turns out Killah Priest and Luckyiam knew nothing of this show date @ Blunt for Feb 5th. They have had many calls from upset promoters and clubs, in the last few days about this situation regarding a " false tour". After Killah priest's Managment discussed this with a few folks, getting to the bottom....of the situation...it turns out that there were " rouge agents" out taking offers for a tour we never knew about or agreed to do. ( Joe Holt & David Dickens). They are not booking agents for them, nor did they have approval to take holds for Priest. So if you get contacted by these guys do not book with them or send deposits.... We have also been contacted by Lucky I Am last night..and he is very confused as well, and will not do the dates without Priest. So we are reaching out to everyone this has been effected, and are trying to resolve, and "salvage" what we can. Lucky & Killah Priest's people & our team apologizes for the show not happening at this time, we will work it out for a future date. in the Meantime we have the homie BUSDRIVER coming through last minute to take your ass to school... Busdriver Possessing a hyper-literate, intellectual style of rapping augmented with dizzying elocution that would tongue-tie even the fiercest auctioneer, Busdriver is eclectic and eccentric enough to cite vocalese jazz singer Jon Hendricks as a primary influence. Born Regan Farquhar, the Los Angeles MC was introduced to hip-hop culture early -- his father wrote the screenplay to one of the earliest films focusing on hip-hop, Krush Groove. He began rapping at age nine, releasing his first record at age 13 with his group, 4/29, named after the 1992 L.A. riots. By the mid-'90s, Busdriver was a regular at the Project Blowed open mic, where he would meet future collaborators and underground luminaries like Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, and Freestyle Fellowship. And shortly after, the vinyl did flow. Busdriver guested on upwards of 20 singles, and by 2001 he could no longer be contained by guest spots, releasing his first full-length, Memoirs of the Elephant Man. There were just as many detractors as supporters for his singular style, which was so densely packed it made his chosen name seem a reference for multiple-personality disorder, and the lo-fi production also left more listeners scratching heads than nodding them. His next album, This Machine Kills Fashion Tips (2002), continued in a similar manner before being trumped by better production and more focused rhymes on Temporary Forever the same year. Joined by another West Coast avant-garde MC, Radioinactive, and the breezy, fractured pop of electronic producer Daedelus, Busdriver released yet another odd puzzle piece in 2003, Weather. Fear of a Black Tangent followed on Mush in 2005. After moving to Anti/Epitaph, the rapper issued RoadKillOvercoat, which featured production from Nobody and Boom Bip.
