Montrealers, come down to Korova on St. Laurent for a night of pop, funk, soul, 60s go-go hits, and great soundtrack cuts. This will be a regular night, mostly on Sundays, and the occasional Monday (to be announced).

Work on the new album continues. Although quick out of the gate, the move to Montreal killed some of the momentum, but forces are gathering once again. Some of the remaining overdubs tracked at Breakglass Studio with the gracious Jace Lasek, as well as some wonderful, inspiring bass work by Evan Cranley (who we hope to snag for some more!) Now trying to organize a trip to Saskatchewan for vocals at Dahle Farm. In two years time we would like to hear the word 'prolific', but for now we'll settle for 'intermittent'.

Our first EP is now available for download from iTunes. 5 songs released in '98, back when Belle was still with Sebastian.

Bossanova HQ will be moving to Montreal in June.  We were tempted by the notion that if 10 more musicians move there from here, Montreal will officially become the 'Vancouver Scene'.

Back in the studio in mid-February w/ Kurt Dahle and Howard Redekopp to record 10 new songs for next album. The title has the initials: T.A.W. Very pop.    

The man who gave us his blessing to use images from Orson Welles' F for Fake has passed away at 68. I hope the new keepers of the Welles estate are as generous in the future.
