Hello all, I wanted to extend a HAPPY NEW YEAR to every and remind you that God loves you! I have recently met up with people who have thoughts that their lives aren't worth anything and contemplate ending it. If you're one of those people, pleaese know there's a God out there that cares for you and loves you so much. He gave you life, and He'll call you home when it's your time.

If you think you don't deserve to live, think again! Every life was put on this earth for a specific purpose. Find out what your purpose is and pursue it with a reckless abandon. So many people feel hopeless and helpless because they feel they have no purpose. That couldn't be further from the truth. God wants you to KNOW your purpose ... just ask Him what it is and He'll impress it on your heart. When you have a purpose - you come to life. You'll realize your life matters to someone around you and is  better off for knowing you. You may not even know what a simple smile can do for people that you see while you're out and about. That could be the day they wanted to end their life, and your smile would give them hope for promising tomorrow. Jesus is that hope! Hang on to Him for dear life and He'll carry you through whatever trial you're now facing. He'll never leave or forsake you. Yeah, you've heard that a hundred times, but IT'S TRUE!!! HE NEVER WILL LEAVE YOU TO FEND FOR YOURSELF! Put your trust in the God of the universe and KNOW that He has your BEST in mind for you.  Why would you want to settle for anything less than God's best? His best is not walking away from from a battle, but letting Him go before you and fighting it for you. So let Him! Let Him face your giants! Let Him tell the accuser in your life that you're HIS and no one can touch you! You're on His watch ... let Him be your guide. I may be rambling on, but I know someone out there is reading this that feels hopeless about their life. I'm here to tell you there is a hope, and that hope is Jesus Christ. If you've never received Jesus in your heart, you can do that today. Just ask Him to forgive you of your sins ... ask Him to cleanse you from within ... ask Him to be the Lord of your life from this moment on. He'll be there for you, I promise -- your life will change and you'll wonder why you didn't do this sooner! A calm will come over you and you'll realize the bright future that He has planned for you. Oh, and don't forget to smile at someone today!!! You may be saving a life!

Current mood:  amused

I am so thrilled that fall will be officially here in a few days. WooHooo! I have always loved the smell of the autumn. I love that soon I'll be putting the fire place on again and snuggling with my hubby while watching a movie. Can't forget the popcorn ... love popcorn! Anyhoooo, I've had an incredibly busy summer. We also spent last weekend in Chicago, IL and had three bookings out there. Friday nights' concert was amazing and as the Lord lead, I just followed. I must say as tired as I got by Saturday, (that's right, after just one concert the night before), I was revved up and ready to go by Saturday night ... and just in time for another concert too. Another memorable night as we (Dave/drums, Evan/bass and Arianna/BG vox) ministered to a church in downtown Chicago. We also prayed for folks after the concert. What a humble and sweet spirit in that place. Sunday morning I lead worship at another church, and thankfully the pace was a little slower. With it came some much needed rest.

It was a treat to bring along some friends from Appleton. Evan, who played bass for us, and Arianna sang backups. You always get to know people a little more when you spend a lot of time with them, and this was no exception. They got to know more of who Dave and I were though ... more than we anticipated. Our extreme zaniness is usually reserved for us, and although we tried to put a lid on it ...we couldn't hold back - leaving Evan and Ari with that 'deer in the headlight' expression. Words just couldn't come out of their mouths at times. Dave and I got a kick out of that. We also met up with friends Richard, Jackie and Megan Engstrom. Funny, we saw that same expression on their faces too. Hmmmm!

Every time we play an concert/church service, our 'family' grows bigger. We have 'family' all over the country and it never ceases to amaze me at how helpful and kind everyone has been to us in our travels. God always provides for us, and beyond our expectations. Sometimes I can't believe we get paid to do this because we love ministering to people so much with our music. As we pray for people to leave our concerts with a heart transformation, God always does something new in our own hearts. Every time!!! Dave and I look at one another afterwards and immediately thank Him for the blessings He graces us with. We still can't believe He's chosen us to do this very thing because we often feel we don't deserve it. How faithful and good is our God? Very faithful and very good! We love Him not because of what He gives, but because of Who He is!

For those of you who knew that my longtime high school friend Pina, had bone cancer ... she went to be with Jesus on Jan. 16/07.  Exactly three months ago to the day, she received Jesus Christ as her Savior and told me she 'knew' she was going to heaven now. She felt that peace that surpasses all understanding. One of the last things she said before passing away was, "I've packed my wedding dress, I'm ready to go."  Wow ... how wonderful is that?  Jesus, her groom was coming to take his bride. She's truly dancin' with her Savior in a gown of pure white. She's got a new body and feels not an ounce of pain.  Praise be to God, and to Him be all the glory!

Current mood:  hopeful

Just got back from my hometown of Toronto, CANADA last night. I got a call last week - Wed. May 10 that my uncle Angelo had died suddenly of a massive heart attack.  My aunt found him lying on the floor of his garage.  I flew back the next morning and took a 6 a.m. flight to be with my family back home and to offer some kind of comfort to my Dad. It was his brother! My uncle was a wonderful, warm and kind-hearted man. He will be missed by so many.

I spent Thurs. night, Fri. afternoon and evening at the funeral home for the viewing, and hundreds of people poured through there to bid their farewell to my uncle and pay respects to his family. I met up with people I hadn't seen for years - some I recognized by face only and others I stared at blankly as I tried to place them somewhere in my past.

I wonder how many people are ready to 'go'?  I asked myself that question over and over again.  Are we reconciled with God, with others, with ourselves?  It's not a matter of works either, although after we receive Christ in our hearts, our faith in Him should be evident by the way we live.  The two thieves on the cross came from two perspectives. One mocked Jesus, the other asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His Kingdom.  He KNEW he was going to spend eternity with Jesus.

LUKE 23:39 - 43 ...  One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

Jesus wants you to know before you die where you will go. If someone has told you there is a second chance to redeem yourself after you die, please know they are deceived and are deceiving you. The enemy of your soul would want you to believe that so you'd let this precious time pass without knowing Jesus at all.

Do you know where you will go after you leave this earth? Are you prepared to meet God face to face?  If you aren't sure, just confess your sins to Him and ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of your life. His spirit will reside in your heart.  He is a gentlemen and never forces Himself on anyone. He knocks softly on the hearts of those who are searching and only enters when you open that door.

God is a loving God never intended for people to go to hell, but because of the fall of man in the beginning, all that changed.  Hell was only intended for Lucifer, (who became Satan), and his fallen angels.  It is God's desire that everyone be saved and go to heaven, but everyone does have their own choice. If you want to know today where you will spend eternity, ask Him into your heart and begin living your life in His service.  Accept your acceptance ... He waits!!!

Still making decisions regarding the CD! We go forth a little at a time, step by step, glory to glory! God has been so faithful so far ... but He doesn't always make it easy?  How else would He help His kids to grow? Just when I think I've grown quite enough (thank you), I feel the stretch, stretch, stretch, or the snip, snip from the pruning shears, not to mention the Potters hands molding me and shaping me.  My, my ... I didn't think makin' another CD would still have it's points of stress, so if you're reading this - please pray that the rest of the process goes smoothly and that there would be no more opposition!  AHHHHHHHHH, IT NEEDS TO BE FINISHED SOOOON!  Hrrrmmmmphh (clearing my throat) - thank you, thank you very much ... I'm here all week!
