ERIKA JAYNE—singer, songwriter and dance pop sensation—has just scored a truly notable achievement in the music world. The Atlanta-born, Los Angeles transplant has landed her third #1 hit on Billboard’s Dance Club Play chart with the alluring “Give You Everything” album Pretty Mess via E1 Music.

This success comes on the heels the #1 dance smashes “Roller Coaster” and “Stars” by the glamorous artist who reels you in with her alluring vocals and catchy melodies and electro beats, not to mention an infectious taste of decadence.

Her Billboard chart success is extraordinary with her experiencing success prior to album release that is not often seen by emerging artists. Check out the video for “Give You Everything” directed by Grammy-nominated video director Marty Thomas and choreographed by Mikey Minden (The Pussycat Dolls).

Erika Jayne is out with behind the scenes footage from her ‘Everything’ video shoot. The clip features comments from Erika’s style team, the ‘Everything’ director Marty Thomas, choreographer Mikey Minder and the dance pop singer herself. ‘Everything’ is off Erika’s debut album ‘Pretty Mess’, now available on E1 Music.

Where the Wild Things Are

By Lina Lecaro

Published on November 18, 2009 at 4:36pm

A legendary performance-art queen and an up-and-coming pop princess bring a special allure to two of L.A.’s wildest dance clubs this week. If you missed the debut party for “Arias With a Twist,” NYC-bred drag wonder Joey Arias’ collab with marionette master Basil Twist and designer Thierry Mugler this week at REDCAT (the show runs through Dec. 13), you still have a chance to bask in the bodacious one’s presence at Shits & Giggles. The pansexual discotheque will pay tribute to Arias, who’ll make an appearance as well. Festivities will also include a DJ set by Steven Hawley (front man for electro-funkster faves Codebreaker) along with in-house floor freakers Victor Rodriguez and Chris Bowen, guest host Terry T. (Miss Honey, S.F.) plus London Fierce (L.A.) & Lady Bear (S.F.) glossing up the stage at midnight. 3100 Club, 659 S. Westmoreland Ave., L.A.; Fri., Nov. 20. myspace.com/shitsandgigglesla. Saturday, pop-tastic Weho boy haven Cherry Pop gets some extra fizz thanks to a (real) femme dance artist, singer Erika Jayne, who’ll perform tracks from her debut, Pretty Mess, including a sure-to-be-appreciated cover of Apollonia’s “Sex Shooter.” Ultra Suede, 661 N. Robertson Blvd., W. Hlywd.; Sat., Nov. 21. factorynightclub.com.
