last night.

i knew it was gonna be a good one last night when pat and i walk upstairs at crofoot and the dudebro's in disguise were running sound. played there three times before and never saw them. well i take that back, the young one was just confused. the older was the dick. pat tried introducing himself and the guy looked at us like he hated his job and his life. we ignored that and went outside.

when we came in to set up, the dick flat out told me, "can you just stay out of the way?" and i said, "wow! we go on first but ok" then when he wanted us to set up i asked him to make sure he was ready this time and he goes, "yeah, set up, the concept isn't that hard" right then, i knew i was gonna have to piss on someone that night.

so our set was fun and going well until pat and i made some comments on stage and then the dick turns our shit down. i think what mad his little teapot whistle blow was when i introduced ourselves as manna and quail half way through the set. i bet he is in the lame band along with that lame adam drummer fuck. whatever.

after, we packed our shit up and then came in towards the end of united states of mind's set, which was very enjoyable and those guys get big props up and down. the next act can eat my used tampon. didn't pay attention to the music because they were assholes. lost my interest RIGHT away.

went out in the hall and hung with cool people who came out and friends. people were nice and respectful.

when jcm came on, i said something to myself and started laughing when robbie was taking his pants off and the drummer from electric lions or whatever says, "what, are you suprised?" in a dumbass blase kinda attitude. he was cool for jumping up on united's set but that was about all he was good for.

then some fuck walks in ( whom btw, goes up to my jewelry store at great lakes crossing)and was yelling shit at jcm so patrick decided to tear him apart on stage with them and freestyle a song entitled "dicksuck central" which was very fitting. i threw my drink in the fuck's face, he approached me, i asked him if he wanted to fuck (of course a joke) and then i spit the most disgusting spit whad of shit in his face. the lame ass metal door guy who never smiles or looks like he's been laid in his life asked patrick what my malfunction is and that is he going to call the cops on me. the only thing i regret was not tipping the bartender on my card (sorry dude) cause i was in such a hurry to get out of there without big door dude pooping his pants next to me.

don't get me wrong. i LOVE phreddie and company downstairs at phonotropic but everyone else at that lame ass place is always so rude and unhappy looking. little do you they know, patrick and i pissed all over someplace i'm sure you had to come in contact with. jokes on you assholes. hope you all get aids.

sex ghost is in the midst of finally releasing a cd of the material weve been playing for the past year or 2 so be on the look for that in the next season or so.at the same time we have been recording  new material for a follow up to the current material and this shit sounds crazy and im excited to go try it live at our next show.i think the atari centipede laid babies in my brain because this shit is smashy dancy 16 bit sega craziness.Its funny because i havent played video games in like 15 fucking years. oh yeah natasha has been  sweatily slaving over a sexghost website which will probably be up soon as well,which im sure she will bulletin the shit out of to inform ppl. blow your ear drums soon! patrick sexghost

holyshit $2 drinks and laser lights giving me acid flashbacks!we playd luna in royal oak last friday eve w/ fellow groups stereoluxxx and love meets lust who was headlining and releasing their new album.both groups did good flawless sets to a packd house of attractve dancey ppl who all seemd to really enjoy themselves.we as well playd a good set and for once in my life i can actually say the sound guys were cool and knowledgable as fuck and made sure all bands sounded dope.thus being said thnx to lml for hooking up the show and throwing down stereoluxxx for playing sexxxy rnb electro sound guys for being cool jesus chainsaw for coming and being cool and checking us out and getting drunk w/ me and everyone who dug it im still burping up gross assjagerbombs.props pat sg!

A brief summary of the the bands de jour:

Sex Ghost: Brilliant two-some, busting out on an electrical wave of sexual innuendos and foot stomping fun. Natasha is a reincarnation of Norma Jean herself and had the stage performance mirrored of Karen-O. Completely-unrestrained- crazy-applesauce!

Eat Sugar: 'NO GUITARS JUST KEYS, DRUMS, BASS AND SEXUAL TENSION' These guys made the 4 hour trip from Cincinnati, OHIO. Driving into the bowels of our decaying, cutthroat city to provide us with the fantastic, fresh sounds of an post-punk electric punch.From the eerie synth sounds in 'Clap Your Hands' to the head bobbing, firecracking sounds of 'Black Eye'. I was glad to catch these guys.

Love Meets Lust: I am ashamed I waited till now to finally see these guys play. Like the child on the neighborhood street that was last to get that Stretch Armstrong toy (remember those?) or Malibu Barbie. I have BEEN FUCKING DEPRIVED. I defenitly heard the 80's influence and was thoughghly enthralled by everything they did on stage. I mesmerized by all the songs, Direction, in particular. John Webb's voice was mesmerizing under the multicolored light show trailing the music, putting a hypnotic spell on the crowd. Even when the light display DID fall apart and there was a slight technical malfunction...John and the band were able to keep composure and entertain the crowd with jokes and small talk. Humble band and great group of guys.

hey yall patrick wenzel from sexghost here reminding yall that we are going to be playing the peoples art festival of detroit this weekend  sunday at 4 pm @ the russel industrial center.This show is free and many other talented artists and musicians will be there.Natasha ,Jessica and I are all very excited to leave our simple lives of living on apple orchards making donuts and cider for the day to come play for yall city slickers in the detroit ,OUTSIDE in the fresh autumn air.yumm I can taste it!.I got my mom ironin my best pair of overalls right now as we speek and i picked up a comb and some hair slickener from the piggly wiggly.    see you there!!!!!!!!

JOHNNY LOFTUS:
The early hour didn't dampen Sex Ghost's love missile fervor. The sunlight still streaming through the skylights of the Magic Stick just made the duo's lovaman-cum-hype woman grind-pop more out of sorts when you discovered it, as if you walked into your doctor's office and there they were, set up in the corner and broadcasting their collective dirty mind to the unsuspecting ears of a crowd gathered in the waiting room. Sex Ghost will see you now.

EMMA KAT RICHARDSON:
Like lemonade and an ice cream sandwich, there's really no way to fuck up a good male/female synth-pop duo. Sex Ghost's Natasha Beste looks and sings like a beautiful, blonde soccer-mom version of Karen O, and the duo brings out an element so rarely found in electronic music — a sense of humor.

(SOCCER-MOM version of Karen O? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHH AWESOME)


RYAN ALLEN:
We popped up to the Magic Stick to see Sex Ghost for a few minutes and got zapped by their electroclash click clack. The rest of the night up in the Stick would prove to be an ever-evolving dance party, and Sex Ghost was a perfect way to kick it off.
