Check it out folks! Things have been quiet on this page for a little while, but there's a good reason. We have a brand new myspace page!
Seems a bit mental considering how long we have had this one, many friends and what-not. BUT we have changed a lot... the album is now out and about! We are currently speaking to a number of record labels and trying to decide how best to move forward.
First step? Jump on over to our new myspace join and add us as a friend. We'll be adding some new updates this week.
Thanks for all the support friends!

Current mood:  busy

Hello there,
Thanks for dropping by the page again! We have swapped the 3 songs on the page over, some nice fresh new tracks from the album for you to have a listen too! We'll keep these up a while and then swap them again! At the moment we have a number of options on how to finally release the album to you, but we havn't decided yet, so we're taking our time.
There are some nice new photos both on myspace here and on our website. There will be more of them kicking about soon too. We are also in the middle of a video edit for our song 'The Ghosts', that should be up soon.
So whats next. We have a few surprises planned! We're running around very busy right now. It's all getting quite exciting....

"Is this f*@ckin' mic on?
Awright.
I've been waiting a long time to say this.

This song goes out to all those who,
made this impossible.
If you're in a band,
you'll know what I'm talking about.

All these wanna-be f*@ckin' promoters charging us to play in their sh*%ty little f*@ckin' venues.
All those PR geniuses who think people care more about a bands image than their f*@ckin' music.
You can't see a f*@ckin' haircut on a CD you c%#ts!
The magazine's that won't give you a review without paying for a nice big f*@ckin' advert.
All those second rate producers f*@ckin' smiling in our faces telling us everything we want to hear,
Then rubbing their greasy palms together when I handed over every single penny we'd saved.
I had to sell a guitar I f*@ckin' loved to pay for your studio time, you f*@ckin' thief!
And don't think I've forgot about you slippery little c%#ts in porsches who wanted us to be more pop. Well f%#k You!
Give me your f*@ckin' Trust.
Give me your f*@ckin' Faith.
Give me your f*@ckin' Life.
I want your f*@ckin' Money!"

The following review is from the News of the World, from our show in Inverness, thanks to Paul Campbell!

"DARKWATER, Madhatters, Inverness

LORA Therese and her bandmates trade in a tough blend of gothic electro-rock that dips a toe in a variety of genres.

This Is Sick, for instance, smacks of indie-pop while Money is unadulterated punk. And it's effective. As Lora screams, "Give me your f*****g money" one starstruck fan steps out of the crowd and hands over a bag of sweets.

Alone And, meanwhile, is less sugary. It takes a more conventional route towards heavy rock but in the synth-oriented 1920 and Ghosts, Darkwater tap into something all their own.

Just wanna say first of all, to anyone who comes to out next few gigs up north, LETS MAKE IT SPECIAL!!!!! Go mental, sing along even tho you might not know the words, jump around knock people over, throw some money, whatever, just have some fun!

I am so so sooooo happy you wouldn’t believe to be back on the road. I have spent far too long waking up to Loose woman and bloody Trisha. Now I can’t wait to wake up next to three sweaty guys in a manky hotel room. I know sounds odd but you do miss it!

If you get a chance come check us out. We’ll make it worth ya while.

Ta ta for now and I’ll keep posting more whenever I can rob someones internet.!!!

:: Sunday 6th April 2009 :: Aberdeen :: The Tunnels ::
Great start to the Scottish dates and great to be back on stage! Good to get under way with a packed house.
Big thanks to our good friend Dod and Sally for putting us up before the show and for coming along and taking some excellent photos, hopefully we'll have some of those up here soon. - UPDATE - Photos are now in the new album on our page here - check 'em out.
More to come...

:: Wednesday 8th April 2009 :: Inverness :: Mad Hatters ::
Good to be back in Inverness, we've played here a bunch of times and it's always been good. Good to catch up with the guys from Stolen Order too, great set from them! Heaven's Basement rocked again. Check out the great review we got from the News of the World, on the same page as The Prodigy. Thanks especially to Richie for coming along and to Pam! I didn't get a minute to chat to Pam (or the mysterious Steg!) but thats awesome that you guys came out for us.

:: Thursday 9th April 2009 :: Fort William :: The BA Club ::
It's defo a first to miss a soundcheck due to bingo coming in but there you go! :-) The gig was fun, great to see some guys and girls there singing along to every word of 1920, very cool. Thanks to Duncan and Pat for all their help on the last 3 gigs of the tour.

:: Friday 10th April 2009 :: Wick :: Assembly Rooms ::
Wick is a cool little town, the hall was pretty big for the show, good stage tho. Cool place, nice hotel and wee did a rockin set. Nice light show from Pat too. Took a quick run to John O'Groats too.

:: Saturday 11th April 2009 :: Skye :: Kylakin Hall ::
Last night of this little tour and where beter than beautiful Skye! Great weather, nice drive. The gig started out looking like it was gonna be quiet but it started to fill up by the time we got on. We put in a rockin set again and especially enjoyed having Minge from Stolen Order and one of the beutiful ladies from the Heaven's basement team on stage with us for 'Sanctuary'.

All-in-all a great little run of gigs! Thanks to Alex and to Heaven's Basement. The new songs went down really well, loads of positive response and a lot of fun for us to play. Check out the new gallery in the photos section and get in touch if you have any photos we havn't seen yet.

If you get a chance to catch Heaven's Basement somewhere near you then take it, their a grand band! Loads more to come from us in the next wee while too. Nice to be back!
