Last night I attended and performed at Open Stage, Unity Church in North Charleston, WV.

What a great time! Folks there are so encouraging and friendly; I even got to see my MYSPACE buddy Bob there! It is definitely an experience I want to repeat. I was so impressed at the attentiveness of the audience. Now I am inspired and am planning on heading to Borders next Friday for their Open Mic.

Check it out ! My buddy Danny Bailey posted two of my tunes. He, Scott Peirpoint, wrote the lyrics and composed the music.  Let me know what you think. Oh yea I'm playing and singing as well.

When I get the ablity to record MP3 format I'll put up a music space.

I just read this in a Prayergram e-mail from the North American Mission Board and feel compelled to share it. Have a blessed day.

"There is a connection between our sin and what is happening to us . . . Pride may be the first and greatest barrier to revival." (Claude King and Henry Blackaby)

Scripture
". . . God sets Himself against the proud . . ." (James 4:5, AMP)

Prayer
O God, how offensive and despicable is our pride in Your sight. In Your mercy, forgive us of our pride. Help us to repent of this detestable barrier to the revival of our hearts and nation. In Jesus' name, amen.

We had a super jam at the Java Joint tonight. Chris and Marc the Harp showed up. Brain was there with his son and all was good! Chris palyed a little slide guitar for us, I think I want to learn to do that. He sang a bit for us too.

I tell you folks if you have never dropped in to jam with you really should, we always have a great time.

Looking forward Saturday's Harmonica Competition it should really rock! Of course I would love it if y'all would show up to cheer me on !

Well I am back from the Ohio State Harmonica Championship. The competition was tough. The majority of the contestents had 20+ years of playing experience under their belts. Out of a possible 300 points the top scores were 235, 238& 239. A fellow Huntington Harmonica member Darrell Brown took second place YEA Darrell !  I did not have access to my score sheets so I don't where I placed in the competition.

I had a blast doing my competition set and am looking forward to competeing in Huntington next week.
