Wow it's been a minute since I've done a blog.  I thought I'd get back into the swing of things y doing a blog recapping last night's In The Flesh reading at Hustler Hollywood.

Readers Included:
Dayle Dermatis
Alyson Mead
Sam Saturday
Donna George Storey – Phone Sex

Dayle’s reading had me wanting to read more of the story, Alyson’s story kept everyone on edge with what was going to happen (espeically to/with the bear), Sam Saturday’s readings were hilarious and Donna George’s phone sex started off with a corset and wet hello kitty panties.  Not a bad way to spend a night I’d say.

My favorite part of the evening was when a male volunteer read from Sam Saturday’s book of Tongue In Cheek poetry (to purchase click here).  Attack is one of my favorite poems from Tongue In Cheek: Book 1: Ladies.  To read the whole poem you’ll need to purchase the book (well worth it) but here’s a sample from Attack by Sam Saturday.

You gotta smack it
Attack it
Hit it from the back
You gotta be on track
To get inside the crack

To see more of Sam Saturday’s work visit his Load World Comics website: http://www.loadworldcomics.com/

The next In The Flesh reading at Hustler Hollywood is Wednesday, August 12th.  Dayle will be reading again.  I can’t wait to hear what she reads in August.

So anyone thinking there is a such thing as too much networking???  Yeah ok that's a tough one to answer.  While it's important for writers (and other industries) to network is there a point where it is just too much?

Some Social Networking Sites (these are not even close to all of them):

Myspace
Facebook
Twitter
Bebo
Yahoo 360
Live Journal
Friendster

And of course you have all the websites, blogging tools and sites such as youtube you can connect with people on.  A big one right now is wordpress.  So how many of these are you on?  How many profiles do you have?  I have how would I say this... maybe too many?  I have more then one on myspace, I have facebook, Twitter, Youtube, a blog, a website and belong to as I'm sure a lot of you do a lot of groups/forums.

Do we spend too much time on these sites and say that we are networking, or are we actually connecting with others in the industry we are involved with?  They of course would know what you are going through since they are in the same industry.

I would say it's a little mixed for myself.  I do a lot of networking on these sites but I also know I get on there for other reasons too.

I keep reading these articles about social networking sites.  It's just interesting to see this is the way things are going.  Now it's like you have no excuse to not keep in touch with someone because most people are on one or moer social networking sites.

What are your thoughts on this?

Ok sometimes people are too stupid for their own good.  As sad as it is sometimes it's just too funny.  In honor of Thursday Thirteen I'm going to do a list of 13 reasons why gapCFB and prize not the brightest and some side notes.  A Thursday Thirteen shout out.

1) believes everything prize says - even if proven to be lies
2) thinks prize can do no wrong (hmmm really??)
3) thinks prize is the one (you sure?)
4) doesn't know pics not the way to go
5) use of incorrect words (not the easiest to read but it sure is entertaining)
6) cries way too much (suck it up already) - no one like a prize that cry all the time
7) can't remember lies told (prize hello if you need to remember your lies so you not caught try making notes)
8) throws the big "L" word around a lot (oh PALEEZE like prize even know the meaning - give me a break)
9) prize thinks can weezle out of everything (again i say haha prize not too good about this one either)
10) prize thinks covered all basis (haha to prize: i got a number of someone you could take lessons from on this one - you have a lot to learn about that lifestyle if that the way you gonna live)
11) beg the person they fucking over to help (haha anyone ever teach you to be nice to people you want things from??)
12) because gapCFB and prize think they be together until the end
(hmmm...maybe but it won't be without a ton of drama and dare I say it
professional help?)
13) thinks the definition of whore is something other then it is.  (gapCFB this a side note for you - get a dictionary - I'm sure your prize can help you find the true meaning cuz their face right there next to word)

To Prize:  You're such a tool but you could use some lessons.
To gapCFB:  You're stupid for being with a tool and believing everything you're told.

There is it.  My Thursday Thirteen shout out.

March 3, 2009 - Tuesday

Ok admittedly I watched the final rose ceremony for this season's Bachelor show.  I have not watched all season but had wanted to see the last episode for this season.

This guy who is the bachelor seemed all nice and sweet and charming and what not.  But last night proved to be a dillhole.  Someone who claims to be ready for marriage, proposes to one woman on the show then in a surprising after the rose show breaks things off with her.  Apologizes he doesn't want to have any regrets and that he still has feelings for the other woman.  So then the ex fiance goes home and then out comes the one I like to call cfb.  Anyways she comes out and the bachelor dude explains that he broke things off with the ex fiance and that he wants another chance with her.

CFB laughes a little, says we have lots to talk about before they get back together or whatever they want to call it and before you know she has her hand on his leg, they move closer together and end up kissing and such right on the air.  Ok now that's a senstive guy for you.  Just broke it off with one chick who had no idea things were going to end (yeah that was nice of him wasn't it?) to then minutes after the ex fiance walking off stage barely leaving in the limo to locking lips with another woman.

Now I ask you this.  How can he claim to be ready for marriage when he can't figure out which one he wants to be with.  But oh wait there is a part two tonight of the after the rose show.  Maybe he'll come back and decide you know what I don't want to be with either one of them and go back to the bachlorette and be with her or better yet have regrets of a woman he kicked off the show and want to be with her.  You see what I'm getting at here.

Ok that saddest thing of all is this dillhole has a three year old son who was getting to know the one he broke things off with - they spent the holidays together.  Now enters another woman who will be in his life.  What is the deal with this?  Why would he do that to his son?  Will this child have a new soon to be step mommy every few weeks/months?  That's the problem with these shows where people go on tv to find love.  How do you fall in love with someone you've only know on set and in a matter of weeks?  It's not real life, not real situations, none of it real other then hormones going wild.  Ok sure maybe you can find someone you'd like to you know date off set and see where things go but the track record for these relationships lasting is not good.  Most do not end up staying together.

Sure Ryan and Trista have managed to beat the reality show doom and appear to have found true happiness which is awesome but the majority of these people who go on reality shows don't find that.  Sure it's easy to see that you might be really really into someone in that amount of time but seriously don't you think it's a problem if you are not dating in real life situations?  I mean how hard is it to be in some huge house overlooking some beach with everything you could possibly ask for, go on dates that are extrememly nice and not your everyday average type of date, have this fabulous time and go back to the big house you are calling home for the weeks you are there in this dream land aka la la land where nothing is real.  You don't have to worry about any outside things - just focus on having fun.  Well hello folks not everything is fun - sometimes you have to deal with real life situations and that's when you get to know people.  How they react to certain things.  You seriously don't know someone until you've been with them for a year - go through all the holidays together, move together, live together - you learn so much through this time.  None of this happens on these shows.

So does anyone really think that this bachelor and his maybe girlfriend/fiance whatever she is to him by tonight's show will last?  I don't.  He just doesn't seem to know what he wants and seriously he needs to get himself in check so his son doesn't have to be confused and have to have a new soon to be mommy in and out of his life.  That is not stable for a child and does not show the child anything good.  This bachelor needs to figure things out before introducing this innocent child into the mix of things.  For crying out loud - that child should be first priority and this dude really needs to think of the repercussions of having mutliple soon to be stop mommies introduced to this child months apart.  It's confusing and heartbreaking.  You just don't do that to children.

Another thing I noticed is a bit of fakeness in the bachelor. Say what?  Yeah I know real surprising right?  Fake on tv - who'd a thunk it?  Like I said I didn't watch all season but I bet if I went back and watched more of the episodes I'd notice even more dillhole fake moments of his.  It's kind of sad actually.  He said very similar things to these women.  Almost like he rehearsed one conversation and had it with multiple women.  Maybe the wording was slightly different to be adjusted for the gal/situation but last night he said very similar things to both women.  Give me a break.

I have more things to say about this idiot but I just can't keep going for fear I won't stop.  I just think that this dude needs to figure things out and get some stability back in his son's and his life.  He can't do that if he's flipping back and forth between women.  Get a grip dude and stop all your crying.  Sure it's nice to see some emotion from a guy but no one likes a guy who cries over everything. And if you are creating the situation and the hurtful moments maybe you should stop.

Ok I'm stopping now.  I don't know what everyone else thinks about him but I do know a lot of people were not happy with how he handled the situation.
