Collins College is considering new art for it's hallways and we need your help to do it. One way we are asking you to do this is by committing to submit 1 - 4 pieces of art for consideration by jury. Send us an email (ajuneau@collinscollege.edu), so we can add you to our artist roster and if possible, images of your work in JPEG or PDF format. Art can consist of any medium. When sending your info; state the actual size of work and medium(s) used. You're work must be framed and or have hooks; proper apparatuses with which to hang it.

Deadline for all submissions is Dec. 15th!

Collins College is seeking student submissions for consideration for selection to the 2008 Via Colori event in Scottsdale in October.  Submissions should be concept art in either hand-rendered or digital format. Depending on the number of submissions and the quality;

2-6 students will be selected to design/illustrate a square together or maximum  of  3 artists  per the 2 squares that Collins College will sponsor.

Submissions are preferably sent in digital, PDF or JPEG formats. Deadline is extended to October 14th .

What: Steve Wolff and Analeah Ricchetti, both graduates of Collins College in Film, Video and Special Effects, will discuss how visual effects are created and elaborate on their professional experiences working on various projects, including The Incredible Hulk, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (the film is to be released in May 2009); the TV show Robot Chicken, and Usher's Moving Mountains music video.

It was a very close competition among the entries that cleared the 72-hr deadline for completing their 'green' themed, short films.  So, close we had to call in a 4th judge to break the tie! All the entries that made it by deadline were very different, and entertaining. It was a well-attended event that also collected about 55 gallons in recyclable paper goods, which was payment to the event.
