Dear all you wonderful people.

as some of you might have noticed we have been forced cancel our shows in the US, this is to do with visa issues and we are trying to sort it out so we can come and play in the spring.

We are so very sorry, we can't even tell you how much we were looking forward to come and play for all of you! We wish we could magically come over, but things don't really work like that unfortunately. We'll just have to wait until we can cross that lonesome ocean.

But for now thank you so much for your support, it means so much to us and hopefully we'll make it up to you in the near future.

Love & peace,
Klara & Johanna

Friends,
right now we're home just enjoying being at home with our dear family here in Sweden. The weather is lovely and we're preparing for our tour with Fanfarlo. Unfortunately we had to cancel our last shows with Slow Club because of visa problems (for the US), so sorry about that. WE are really sad about it, we had such an amazing time supporting Slow Club those five days. We sang Beyoncé songs, met loads of wonderful people and talked about cheese. It doesn't get much better then that.

We also played at End Of The Road festival, we played in the "Tipi Tent" which was very, very hot! But, we still had a great time and we got to see the great Alela Diane who just blew us away just like we'd expected. Please listen to her if you have not yet discovered her fantastic music! (Yes, that is an order)

As you might have noticed we've taken some new photos, they were all taken by the very talented Eva Edsjö. We are really happy with them so we hope you like them too.

Also we would like to apologize for not uploading any of those Summer Sessions, we have been very busy, finishing the album and touring but we will try to get one up as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your song suggestions, we've found so many new lovely songs we'd never heard before thanks to you!

Love & Peace,
Klara & Johanna

Some of you may already have noticed this, but just wanted to let the rest of you know that we're going out on a UK autumn tour with Fanfarlo in September and October.

It's going to be our first proper tour and we're very quite thrilled about this. Simon of Fanfarlo is also a Swede, so this will be an unbelievably exotic tour.

(You will get two mp3s with your tickets, one from us and one from Fanfarlo...!1)

So, see you down the road?

Much love,

Dear friends, we have big news and we need your help!

We are going to film sessions of us singing songs of our own and covers this summer. You will find these sessions at on our brand new website http://thisisfirstaidkit.com and on our Youtube channel (http://youtube.com/jagadambarecords).

thisisfirstaidkit.com

We need you to tell us which songs to play! You can help us by either sending a request of a song through the website or by sending us a request through Twitter. (http://twitter.com/..faksessions). Furthermore, we will bring the camera wherever we go this summer and we're going to quite a lot of festivals. Come say hey if you’re at any of the festivals over the summer - and let us know what you’d like us to cover. Also, so if you know a location close to the festival area that is good to film at, let us now by messaging us @faksessions. Who knows where we'll turn up!

For further instructions and information, check out the new site! Here you can read news from us, check out our live schedule, write requests and watch previous sessions. Plus we also have a gallery! If you have a Flickr.com account and have photos of us from the festivals and things of us playing, just tag them with "#faksessions" and they will show up at the website's gallery! Neat, right? :)
We’re so bored of seeing all these first aid kits!

Now, our very first session is a cover by Buffy Sainte-Marie's song "Universal Soldier",
the song was written in the early sixties, it's about individual responsibility for war. We wanted to sing this song because, unfortunately, it still is so true today and will probably be so for years to come. We changed the lyrics a bit to make it more relevant to today's society. It means a lot to us, so we hope you like it:

Also, thanks to all of you who have seen us thus far the festivals! It's been AMAZING and we're so happy to be doing this!
Right now we're working on our debut album and a single that is to be released this fall. We're über-excited! We’ve been doing bits and pieces of writing over the last few weeks so we may preview a new track soon - you’ll have to let us know what you think. Hope to see you all very, very soon!

Lots of love,
Klara & Johanna

On our first tour in Europe we've met some wonderful people, like the best taxi driver on earth Mark Solomon, Peter, Bjorn, John, Ulf, the coolest French guys ever (next time we're in London we'll visit every Pret A Manger in town to find you), the coolest Canadians ever, the best keyboardist ever, the angriest guardian of a park in Paris and the German hotel dude with the funny laugh. Thanks all of you for coming to our gigs, or if you didn't, don't worry we'll come back soon. We're so happy it's like we're seeing unicorns everywhere. We're going to try to incorporate unicorns on our stage show next time. Or maybe not. BUT yeah, life rocks man.

We're back from London, where we had the honour to make our UK live debut. Thank you everybody for making our visit in London a dream come true! We're looking forward to coming back! And remember to buy the EP when it is re-released in the UK and the rest of the world on the 23rd of February (if you like of course, we're not going to force you into it hehe .__. ).

Now, here are some exciting news:

First of all Steve Lamacq from BBC Radio 6 has chosen "You're Not Coming Home Tonight" to be one of the songs to be chosen for his Rebel Playlist. Each week he chooses three songs that will potentially be played each night the following week and then his listeners can vote for them on his website here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/steve_lamacq/

It would be amazing if you'd take your time and voted for us, we'd be so happy! I mean imagine if we would win?!

Secondly, we are featured in The Sun's (!!) article about acts to look out for in 2009 and we also did a very funny questionnaire thing with The Lipster.

We can also be found in the January issue of Dazed & Confused (!!). Click here for a scan!

Thirdly, you can watch us perform You're Not Coming Home Tonight and a brand new song live in the courtyard at The Fly.co.uk .
The song is called "Hard Believer" and will be featured on the debut album that we're currently working on!

Lastly, here's a little review of our EP from Plan B Magazine:

Ah, the times...

This is so unreal. Thank you a hundred million times for making this happen!
