The music business is lying on its Death Bed with no cure in site. Labels are dropping like flies and even music stores are closing down across the country. CD sales are at record lows and digital music downloading is at its peak. Is this Armageddon? I think not. People will always want to hear new and exciting music. The key is changing with the times. So what's the next step?

We have to go back to where it all started. LIVE SHOWS!!! Music started because it was an experience to see talented people manipulate their instruments right in front of your eyes to create something beautiful. Their is no way you can download the feeling you get at a live show.

Recorded music is not a money maker anymore. CDs are too expensive and why pay $18.99 for something I can download for free on my computer. Sad but true. We have to stop viewing recorded music as a product so much and more as a marketing tool. Use the recorded music to let fans familiarize themselves with the music so they can come see the LIVE SHOW!!!.

So there it is. Now the only problem we have to deal with is venues and club owners that don't respect the musicians enough to give them a decent enough cut to live on. But thats a whole different issue...

Duuuuuuuude!....

I have been having a blast this summer. Thanx to Copasetic Ballyhoo I've gotten to rock some fun festivals and kick ass shows this summer. I'm playing some new tunes not found on the album from time to time and really trying to experament with my live show a bit. So far this has been a good year for me to grow as an artist, and I'm sure getting to play as much as I have has helped that. I always say "You learn more from a live show than sittin at the house". So yea, I've got several dates scheduled and posted and working on booking more. Come enjoy the show and pick up a copy of my new album PorterHouse Radio.

Love you all, ROCK ON!!!-Will

I had a blast this weekend. I played 3 shows.

On Thursday the 19th, I played at Liquid Lounge in Deep Ellum. I always love playing there cause they have a great sound system and people that know how to make ya sound good. Matt from Copasetic Ballyhoo hooked me up with that show. If you dont know about Copasetic Ballyhoo, go check them out on my top friends, they are doing great things for local Dallas music.

April 20th(4/20), was spent at Club Chaos opening for my friend Walyon Henleys band 3rd World Country. That was my album release for PorterHouse Radio. Several good friends showed up to support, thanx to yall!

Last night I went to Brazos Lounge in Mineral Wells, Texas with 3rd World Country. I opened for them again and really got to know the band a lot better. They are some cool guys with a hard rockin style of country. Check them out as well, Waylon is on my top friends.

As always, thanx for reading. Rock On-Will
