Sorry for the crappy pictures... we'll get some better ones with Cruise.. if he's not pissed off at us for not playing shows.

Speaking of shows, we have one friday at Hot Topic at Mall of the Bluffs.  (That's in Iowa)

If you live around Omaha, NE you should pick up a City Weekly.. mainly because it’s free... and also because Will is a good writer and he makes us sound like interesting people. If you can’t grab a copy you can read the full article on their website

First of all, hello. We're Akita-Ken. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Slowdown show last night and sorry to everyone who got turned away at the door. We would have loved for everyone to be there, but they could only pack in 200 people. We should have some pictures and videos up from the show soon. They said we can have the main stage next time so we won't have to turn anybody away. We don't have a date yet, but we'll let you guy know. Also, sorry for those of you who thought we'd have the new EP's made. We should have them made in the next few weeks. Our main goal was to get the tracks on the myspace for you guys asap. We'll still be handing out all of our old albums at shows until we are out.. we still have around 300 left.

We can't say enough about working with Jason Burkum and Matt Tobias on this EP. All three of us can say with complete confidence that we were meant to work with them. Jason tore our songs apart and looked at every detail and was very blunt with us about things that sucked. That's what we needed for sure. Be sure to check out our studio videos we have up on the page. If you're in a band we can get you contact info for Jason and Matt. For those of you who are confused, Jason produced recorded and mixed our EP. We rented Matt's studio out, but Matt helped with drums and recording also. And let us not forget the best Mastering dude ever... Doug from Focus Mastering. (cool note about the EP, we ran it through a reel to reel tape recorder at some point in the mastering process)

As for what we're doing next.... we hope good things. Hopefully you're on board.

check out our top friends, they worked with Jason and Matt too
