Can you believe February is all but over? It's astonishing.
I have a few shows coming up in March, and will tell you all about them below, but first I want to put in a plug for a show I'm NOT in that you simply must see if you are able.
This Saturday, March 1, twenty of New York City's most vibrant, talented, and shockingly smart teen poets will take the stage at the Urban Word NYC Teen Poetry Grand Slam Finals.
This is the 10th year of the teen slam here in NYC, and it is going to be a doozy of a show. These young people have made it through round after round of competition to make it to this point, and I guarantee that you will leave astonished, humbled, and full of hope for the future of the planet.
They're just that good.
You can buy your tickets here: www.myspace.com/urbanwordnyc -- for group rates, call 212-352-3495. If it's honestly the $15 keeping you away, drop me a line and we'll talk about comps. It's that important that you see this show.
