Here's a review of our digital release 'Hike':

Review of Hike

Thank you QuirkyNYchick! ;-)

'Hike' was also reviewed by local journalist Matthew Brett (The Hudson Gazette):

DIG release album
By Matthew Brett

ÎLE PERROT – A group of local lads launched their debut album last week. Hike, a 12 song CD by the Daniel Iorio Group, has a crisp sound that touches close to the heart of the region.

This is an incredibly well-made album and even more impressive is the CD is self-produced by drummer Dan Legault and Iorio himself.

The lyrics are wistful, Andy Dacoulis’ guitar shoots out galactic echoes of U2, and “Helicopters” will move you to tears.

Iorio was home when three-year-old Bianca Leduc was hit by a car last year in Île Perrot. He heard the screech of the tires, and “Helicopters” deals with depicting the tragedy as it unfolded. This is a powerful song that any driver should listen to before getting behind the wheel.

Hopefully, if anything, the tune will remind people to slow down,” Iorio said.

The album also hits lighter notes like “Northern Lights” and “Rogue,” both fit for an autumn drive.
