Massive congratulations are due to ex-16 Steps student Andy Boph for signing 4 of his tracks to the massive UMM Records!!!
After signing his first 2, UMM got him on remix duty for Mauro Picotto's new track 'Evribady'!!
Nice work!!
Here a bit about Andy:
Andy BopH is no stranger to the dance music scene. Hailing from the North West of the UK, his love for electronic music began at the tender age of 15 when he got his first set of decks - a passion that has manifested and grown for 12 years. Getting his first gigs at 16 he was regularly playing the warm up slot at a local club along side some of Liverpool's finest DJs; Pez Tellet, Dave Graham, to only name a few.
Fast forwarding to today, Andy is not content to mix on 2 decks & a mixer, he is know to add 3 decks into the mix as well as using FX units. Blending dirty electronic beats he fuses sets that will leave the dance floor stunned. With his technical wizardry he implements FX with creative flair to deliver sets that are destroying dance floors! Along with coming 3rd in the North of England Corona DJ competition he played over 260 gigs last year, including legendary Empire in Teesside and the newly refurbished Print Works in Manchester.
Andy BopH began producing in 2005, making dirty and filtered sounds influenced by idols like Steve Angello and Eric Prydz. The productions are dance-floor orientated - inspired by nights at Foundation and Cream. So far, his tracks has already notched support from Judge Jules, Annie Nightingale, Stonebridge, Bimbo Jones, Gorden Kaye, Sucker DJs, Sonny Wharton, plus many many more.
Andy's debut release, "Everybody" was on Spanked Records. Gaining support on BBC Radio One from Annie Nightingale and getting to 14 in the upfront club charts. This has given Andy the taste of what he wants from life, to DJ and produce songs that get people smiling and shaking. In 2007 a collaboration track with Kelevra landed Andy with a major record label, UMM Records and then a week later they snapped up another one of Andys tracks 'Rat Trap', two major signings in one week. With remix and collaboration offers coming in from across the board, this is set to be the year that the name Andy BopH is on everyone's lips.
