Hey Guys,

Our new album Creaturesque is out today!!  We'd like to say an enormous, earth shaking THANK YOUUUUUU to everyone who has supported our music up till now.  We really hope that you enjoy our new album, and more than anything we look forward to bringing it to your town to play live for you.  Can't. Wait.

Also.  I did an interview with the very cool Jezz Harkin from BreakThru Radio.  It's an online radio station, and he spliced up bits of the interview into his hour long show.

I recounted the story of how we found and rescued our pit bull Mingus from the Alabama roadside on tour last year, so if you're curious to hear about our little ball of joy who warms the TMTS household give a listen to the show.

Take em easy,
Scott

Hey everyone,

Final update for today!

Check out The Stranger this week for its assessment of the "Top 12" songs by TMTS (culled from the band's debut, Moonbeams and the new album, Creaturesque):

http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/the-12-best-songs-by-seattle-band-throw-me-the-statue/Content?oid=1930645

In addition, we also have some great new reviews out now on Creaturesque:

Under the Radar (Summer issue, out now) says: "Throw Me The Statue takes its cues from 80's new wave, 90's power pop, and this decades songs oriented bands...Their sophomore album builds on the success of Moonbeams by a bringing  fuller band experience to the recording process... TMTS leader Scott Reitherman has emerged as one of the most promising young songwriters of this decade."

Q Magazine (August issue) says: "Superior indie from the growing Seattle collective"

FILTER Magazine (Summer issue, out now) says: "Throw Me the Statue (now a four-piece) has made some significant and interesting moves away from lo-fi since its debut. More defined and refined than the bedroom sketches from 2007's Moonbeams, Creaturesque emerges with a broader soundscape without losing a shred of intimacy-or catchy keyboard grooves. [85/100]"

Please support these magazines where/when you can, and stay tuned for more updates throughout the week!

Thanx for your support!

Love,
Frank the TMTS Champ

Hey friends,

I had a chat with my friend Adam Currier from back home in California and he posted our transcribed conversation, an interview if you will, on his blog called Evolving Music.

--> Evolving Music TMTS Interview

This blog runs in conjunction with a musically oriented internet project that other friends of mine are starting up called Mix Match Music. Some of what Adam and I chatted about has to do with what our friends at Mix Match are pursuing, namely the intersection of Web 2.0 and music recording software. How will people collaborate, release, remix, and potentially rethink the music they make because of the ever widening window of access that the good ol interweb enables for you and I. Hmmm, big stuff. What do you think about all this? Sometimes it's too much for me to ponder, and sometimes it's the most exciting thing about the internet.

Stay sassy and sunscreened,

Scott
