We've been a bit quiet over the last couple years, but guess who's back in action?

Video from the Hart House Open Stage this past Thursday.

Expect to hear more soon...

Just letting everyone know that we've begun the process of recording a new demo, so keep an eye ( or.. ear? ) out for new recordings (probably in early 2007)!

Current mood:  contemplative
Blaise again, here to first of all point out that the poetry corner a) has not been weekly, b) the one poem was turned into a song (as already pointed out by Eamonn) and c) it was performed (twice) this past week. But it's a pretty damn cool song, so Eamonn is forgiven

But more importantly, over the summer we entered the International Songwriting Competition, and just this month we were notified that Cedars and Stars finished in the semi-finals (top 20) of the Lyrics Only category!

Cedars and Stars isn't on our myspace right now (though that might change if I become unlazy for a moment), but you can listen/download/find the lyrics at fishkiss.ca

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by.

Current mood:  anxious
Ok, this is Eamonn. Blaise just made the mistake of giving me the username and password for the myspace account, so I'm going to be doing a weekly blog of poetry that will probably never get turned into song.

BUT I know you guys were just itching for it. Honestly.

Week one:
*disclaimer* this is already a song, actually. I wrote it. But chances are it will never be performed, so I'm going to count it as fair game!

Almost and Maybe

If you're going to cast me
adrift on the waves,
then half of my heart says
it's fair that you chase me.
Fly me a white sail,
filled up with the wind,
to show all the sailors
the places we've been.

Could we go again, and come back in a day?
Almost and Maybe could show us a way.

If you're going to ask me
to burn at the stake,
then half of my heart says
it's fair that you build me
a pyre madeof incense,
to soften the wind,
and tell all the judges
the things that I've been.

I have waited, and been told,
Almost and Maybe are past my control.

Thanks folks, that's this weeks poetry corner.

Hello!

Our live demo is finished! We rented some equipment a couple weeks ago, and recorded a practice. We've got much better quality mp3s (and finally a recording of Traveller!), so check them out here in our profile or at www.fishkiss.ca (everything is downloadable from there!).
