I am inviting anyone who has an opinion/experience regarding the 8 track tape and it's history to submit a brief (2-3 mins.) filmed commentary. Just videotape yourself and mail the tape to: Spinal Tape, PO Box 720714, Dallas, TX 75372 USA. Not all tapes received will be used. By submitting your interview, you agree to my usage of the footage. The winning interviews will not result in any payment. This concludes the legal portion of this bloggy woggy. Seriously though, I hope many of you out there will send me your fimed messages for consideration. And don't forget to visit spinaltape.com!

I first started filming interviews about the 8 track tape in 1993. The first interviewees were Mojo Nixon, Syd Straw, and Jim Dandy Mangrum of Black Oak Arkansas. My most recent interviews were filmed in 2007 with Scott McCaughey and Peter Buck of The Minus 5. I have interviewd over 30 legeandary musicians for this project, as well as collectors and fans of the 8 track. It's going to be a hilarious little fim, without a doubt. Stay tuned to this site and the official website - spinaltape.com - for all the details. Release on DVD is currently scheduled for Summer 2008. Bucks Burnett, Dallas.
