Symphony on a guitar… 17^th-March-09

This weekend (on Sunday night) I went to record and realised all my spare extension leads were in the studio, as well as my keyboard/drums and my PC. So I picked up my old acoustic and just played about with the recorder on my laptop.

The original intent was to capture some ideas so not to forget them, ah well too late! My poor brain couldn’t handle the distraction and remember what I was supposed to do.

So on I played completely forgetting I was recording, with all the twiddling a good hour passed by before my laptop battery alarmed.

Tonight, I listened back to hear what I’d done and came across a short section in my playing I really liked. I pulled out my trusty acoustic and added a little percussion using it like a drum, then a little bass by using the deepest note and finally some rhythm guitar to lift the track a little.

I’ve uploaded the result to my page. The whole thing was done on the acoustic, hence the name, though it is only a couple of minutes long.

I went to a restaurant today, and in one corner saw a nice young couple enjoying a romantic meal, in the other, there were 4 business people, that at a guess, were in their 40's... they were loud, rude and so damm noisy they were asked to leave....  and made such a scene the young couple's night was ruined... I guess age is not what provides wisdom to be considerate of others....  I later found that the young man wanted to propose, and had saved up to be able to take his girl out and set a perfect scene.  Some people eh?

I paid for the young couples meal, (it really wasn't expensive) and told the waitress to say it was on the house due to the earlier troubles, that's my good deed of the month,  but I still cant help being angry at the idiots who are probably oblivious to what they did and how their behaviour impacted on others.
