Hey all...some news from the world of Backseat Virtue;

As of this May (’08), BV will be going on an extended hiatus.

With all of the events going on in our personal lives (weddings, birth of first child, home purchases, new careers), we will not be actively gigging.

This is not an end though. We will still be writing and rehearsing, and working on our sophomore release.

We have had a great year with the CD released to great reviews, some amazing shows with equally amazing bands and, of course, our fans who have been nothing short of fantastic.

We’ll be looking forward to taking the stage again, and seeing you all when we come back out of our shell.

If you’re available, be sure to catch our last two scheduled shows before the hiatus begins.

For those in Columbus, OH on Saturday 4/5, we’ll be performing with our friends in Your Favorite Assassin for their EP release at Andyman’s Treehouse - 887 Chambers Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43212

And then Fri., 4/11 we’ll be playing Dirty Jacks in Cincinnati - 5912 Vine St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45212

Hey all.

BV is going to be going on an indefinite hiatus in May due to Robert's first child being born and Chrissy getting married.

So soak us up while you can. This is one of the last gigs before we take a break, get our lives all settled and begin recording the next CD. You may not see us for quite a few months if you miss us now.

Backseat Virtue will be performing at this year's Midpoint Music Festival. Our slot is 11pm on Saturday, Sept. 29th at Buddakhan, 713 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (513) 421-THAI.

MPMF is an independent music festival in downtown Cincinnati that runs for three days (Thurs. the 27th through Sat. the 29th). The event features nearly 300 acts from across the US and around the world; all playing on 19 stages within a few blocks of each other. This is the 6th year of the Festival. There is a free trolley on Saturday to bus between the farther venues. Download a map here: http://www.mpmf.com/trolley_map.pdf

Admission is available on a per night or three night basis:

All venue access all three nights (plus pre-party events held nightly before the showcases) - $25

All venues for one evening - $10

One night one venue - Determined by venue (previously, around $5 on average)

Access to all venues showcasing festival acts from 9 PM to close
