The amazing Jack Ladderzzz have recorded a new ep.

Totally live, one day, no overdubs, four men in a room make music.

It is five drastic reworkings of five classics, from Jack's sophomore album "Love Is Gone".

It is called "Counterfeits".

Listen to it here - www.myspace.com/jackladder

if you want to...

Sincerely,

Kirin J Callinan

We are recording an album, live, over three nights.

I will be under lights.

I will be very vulnerable.

You will be too.

The entire venue is mic'd...

Let's make a record. And, as always, let's make history.

As a result of years of this occasial past time, I'm playing guitar with giant Jack, the locomotive Lawrence Pike & the very, very dirty Donny Bennet on the the upcoming Jack Ladder tour. It begins this Sunday, 28th June 2009, at the Annandale Hotel. With great supports Teeth & Tongue and Kid Sam, what else you gonna do this sabbath?

Check myspace.com/jackladder for dates & venues.

Hello.

Vivid Sydney is here. So why are you there? When it's everywhere! Come get you're share! Well, specifically it's at the Opera House, the MCA, the botanical gardens, the observatory and general Rocks area, do make sure you're a part of it! If not, you will regret it. kinda like Leonard Cohen, David Byrne, ATP and all the other things you didn't get too... plus, most of this is free. I highly recommend Fire Water & Creative Sydney.

vividsydney.com

As part of Creative Sydney, on Friday night, June 5th at the MCA, artist George Gittoes, with a little help from some friends - Death personified Kris Hades, Mr informed Terry Willesee, the most beautiful Kit Willesee, our most trusted Phoebe Hyles & myself, unveilved the first incarnation of his major work "Night Vision". It was in celebration of the Yellow House, it was unlike anything before it in Australia & it was an astounding success. Much more to come. A big thankyou to all who attended & partook in the experience.

You can read about the Night Vision concept, George himself, yours truly and the entire evening, here...

Please let me know if there's is anything you think I should attend, I'm feeling adventurous...

Sincerely,

Ladies & Gentlemen,

This Sunday, the 17th of May, View of Courage is proud to present ‘Forever the Motion’, an audio visual collaborative performance featuring a unique cluster of progressive Sydney-based artists and musicians - Robyn Wilson, Anthony Garvin, Jack Dibben, Jordana Maisie, Kirin J Callinan and Morning Stalker.

Incorporating original compositions in music and sound design, video art, lighting, costume and movement, the event is unlike any other in Sydney & has almost sold out. Rsvp your place amonst this experience, one that is set to be a cataclysm of visual beauty and aural splendor.

The evening will be filmed and recorded, to be then produced as an independent audio visual piece due for release late-August 2009. It is with great pleasure for View of Courage to announce that the recording will be mixed and mastered at Studios 301, one of Australia’s most prestigious recording studios.

This is a one off event. Be a part of it!

I used to be an imperfectionist. Then I stopped. It sometimes made life easier. But an easy life is no substitute for perfect imperfection. I'm an imperfectionist again. New tracks up soon.

Hi.

This is overdue, but thankyou nonetheless to those who bought or listened to my first album of home recordings "Am I a Woman, Yet?" from 2008.
I will be releasing much more music in 2009. Maybe very soon...
Oh, and thankyou for the great review!

To anyone and everyone concerned,

This weekend, Friday the 6th of June until Monday the 9th, 2008, I, Kirin J. Callinan, along with the band, will be in Melbourne mixing our upcoming record. I would like to take this opportunity to offer my services to perform solo for Victorian's in Victoria. I've never (formally) done so before and would very much love to. Whilst I know this post is incredibly short notice and may very well go unnoticed, if there are any bands, artists, bookers, venues, spaces or Corey Delany's with any possible openings on their bill then I would be more than committed, more than excited and more than grateful to fill any void or simply add some colour.

I'll play almost anywhere, anytime!

Please, let me in and let me know.

Sincerely,

Kirin J. Callinan
