Making Movies and Minimal release a split EP on Tuesday, August 25th
Kansas
City band Making Movies has teamed up with Miami based Minimal to
release a free split EP featuring two-songs from each artist. The
limited run of 500 cd’s will be mostly distributed throughout Miami,
Kansas City and Chicago with a digital version of the EP available
through the band’s websites. Enrique Chi, Making Movies front-man
explains, “We became friends with Minimal last year and have been
looking for a way to really cross-pollinate our scenes.”
Both
bands were recently featured on Myspace Latino’s En Tu Ciudad Tour and
are gearing up for a small string of shows together in Kansas City,
Chicago, Orlando, and Miami. Alejandro Angee (Minimal) continues,
“these will be our first shows in the Midwest, we are very excited.”
Making
Movies is also offering a promotion that for 30 days after its release,
if you email the band your address they will send you the split as well
as five copies of their single. The promotion is geared to continue
building the word of mouth buzz about the bands.
