Science With A Twist returns to Hogwart's! Join us for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: The IMAX Experience on Seattle's biggest movie screen - Pacific Science Center's Boeing IMAX Theater!! Wizards and muggles alike will enjoy cocktails and Potter-themed activities during happy hour, then make their way down to the theater to take in the much anticipated film featuring twelve minutes of the movie's explosive opening sequence in spectacular live-action IMAX 3D.

Tickets are $20, $17 for Pacific Science Center Members.

Immerse yourself in an evening of adventure and discovery on October 16 as Science with a Twist celebrates the arrival of Lucy, the world's most famous fossil. Channel your inner archaeologist as you explore Lucy's Legacy: The Hidden Treasures of Ethiopia. As you sip cocktails and sample cuisine from Lucy's homeland, meet Pasquale Scaturro—geophysicist, adventurer, expedition leader—whose 2004 team became the first in history to complete the full 3,250 mile descent of the Blue Nile from source to sea.  At the end the evening the Eames IMAX Theater presents Mystery of the Nile, the breathtaking film that documents Pasquale and his team as they seek to complete the descent that has eluded explorers for centuries.

Alien encounters - fact or fiction?
Sip on eerie cocktails while exploring other galaxies in our planetarium, listen to accounts of extraterrestrial sightings and then decide for yourself if you are a believer!

The evening begins with a paranormal happy hour featuring a presentation by Joe Hutchings, member of the Society for Sensible Explanations, entitled "Why Skeptics Can't Win," followed by "UFOs of the Northwest" presented by the curators of Seattle's Museum of the Mysteries. Decide if we are truly alone and then end the evening with a private space-themed Laser Show in the Seattle Laser Dome.
