You book and promote shows and, essentially, we spend all our time promoting music. It's a match made in heaven! After all, a lot of the indie bands you book in CT are bands that get played on our airwaves. We have a unique opportunity to be helping each other out; we might as well take advantage of it. Think about-- every now and then you tag a "WNHU presents" on your fliers with your own name and let us set up a table to hand out free goodies and programming schedules. In return, we promote the show on-air by telling our listeners that "so-and-so productions has an awesome show coming up. This band and that band are playing it and it's here, more info, blah, blah, blah." This way, news of your show is reaching a larger number of people and a lot more frequently. Think about it. If you don't currently have a promotions company working your record and think that you're (a) good enough for college radio, (b) think our listeners would like your work and (c) can spare a cd, mail it to us and we'll see what we can do. Following the "ATTN:" put whichever department you feel you are best suited to (i.e. Loud Rock/Metal, Punk/Hardcore, RPM, Urban, Folk, Jazz, Blues, New Music [which encompasses pretty much every genre], or Local).
