Current mood:  adventurous

In the spring of 2008 we'll be releasing a 7" on the brand new Everard label. We're very excited because Everard is run by our good friend Daniel who is most famous for his role in Homocrime. Daniel is one of the most efficient and organised people in the world, and we're glad we have him on our side. Daniel carries a penknife - and a penfork!

We'll be following this with either another 7" or a split lp on Irrk.

More news soon...

we've not really had much corey news lately cos we've been pretty busy with other projects and such (irene has been organising the wire 25 festival and playing guitar for kim gordon on the floor:

and lisa and michal have been carving pumpkins and playing in headfall - who have a couple of shows at the end of november in bristol - go see www.myspace.com/headfall)

oh, i forgot to say, we had our picture and a little write-up in plan b magazine in the september issue. also in that issue was an interview with our friend, winston echo, who by the way is selling some t-shirts he made of his beautiful drawings. go visit him at www.myspace.com/iamwinstonecho

and speaking of friends, kid francois, you are the ace of spades! xo

thanks for reading our news!

last week we went on tour with hello cuca. this puts a tick next to the first item on our list of "ambitions to fulfil by starting a band". the second item on the list was: "play a gig with wet dog" (we did this too in london!). the remaining ambitions are: "play a gig with valerie" (to be fulfilled at get bent hell yea!), play a gig with the battys (we got to play with joan in cardiff, and in london ros took the place of irene for the soundcheck! so we came close... but where was anna? we haven't seen her in forever...) and finally we'd like to tour the west coast of north america from san franscico to vancouver (anyone?).

irene was writing a tour diary when the tour began, but we forgot about that quickly... the tour was full of good intentions to start with, like we planned to only eat raw fruit and vegetables (which lasted until breakfast) and each morning we were going to get up and do yoga, but after the first morning we sort of forgot.

we met a lot of nice people, took it in turns to be grumpy, and sometimes were all grumpy all at the same time. we learnt a lot about the stars and the sun. we got a bit better at playing. it's time we wrote some new songs.

on tour some people described us. these are the best ones: "skinned teen meets melt banana",  "warsaw meets shop assistants", "sizzle meet"!

thanks to hello cuca. thanks to rosie for driving and organising. thanks all the nice people who put on the shows and let us stay. XXX

did you see us? we were the first on...

last weekend we recorded a cassette tape on a cassette tape recorder. we spent two days in the downstairs spare room at irene's grandma's house. we took a couple of breaks to walk in the countryside and sit in the wheat fields. we saw rabbits and lots of apples.

the tape is a split release by local kid and irrk records. we'll be selling copies of it on our tour next week if you want one. or else write and ask us to send you a copy... maybe we'll make you pay, maybe we won't... for the tour we also have badges... we'll also be playing sissy-core punk rock... come early, we'll be on first!
