I had the privilege of attending the NY red carpet premiere of Lifetime's "Living Proof" with my good friend Yetunde (girls night, woo-hoo!), and we thoroughly enjoyed this movie (and not just because I was in it :)

I think you're going to like it too because it's an inspirational true story about Dr. Dennis Slamon (played by Emmy Award-winner Harry Connick Jr), a doctor who devotes his life to finding a treatment for breast cancer, and many of the women whose lives are saved.

My "Nurse Carol" comes in the second half of the film. She's somewhat of a practical joker, but has a chance to really help one of the patients toward the end... Hope you have a chance to enjoy this wonderful story of hope!

Believe me, it's not that I haven't wanted to. It's a timing thing. I've barely had enough time to keep up with my own site (http://NaimaLett.com, shameless plug! :) and my own emails; but for those of you who have been persisitent with your emails and invitations: Thank you! It has worked.

Being busy is a blessing. I'm not complaining one bit! I've had some wonderful opportunities to work recently on the big and small screens (Lifetime's Living Proof, BBC America's Wire in the Blood, Paramount's Curious Case, Chess, Fox's Prison Break, and Lifetime's Inspector Mom), onstage (just finished Tennessee Williams' classic The Glass Menagerie, which was awesome), and watch out for my one-woman play Shattered Silhouettes coming to a city near you! It's so great meeting you all while traveling.
