DINO FELIPE - Personality Crisis (BR021)


Personality Crisis...this illustrates pretty well what's going on here. The litlle big microsound master Dino Felipe, one of the problem child of the famous Schematic label, is making his first release on Bedroom Research with some tracks that are a bit like browsing Am radio in search of some underground rock, newwave or experimental folk stations. 8 rounds of square poppy beats fighting against interferences on a surrealist battlefield, with entracts assured by some beautifull and immersive abstract melodies. In one word : FREESTYLE.


For us it's one of Dino's best work but anyway you'll say we are not objective.So, go get it and make an idea by yourself !

Pour la troisième année consécutive, Villette Sonique invite une sélection pointue de labels indépendants et de collectifs musicaux à se rencontrer et à faire découvrir au public leur production et leurs artistes. Le Parc de la Villette les accueille, le temps d'un week-end, sous la bannière du Village Label.

Conçu par Cocktail Designers, « Le Kiosque électronique » est à nouveau mis à l'honneur avec un florilège de showcases ingénieux : une expérience originale et intimiste pour les artistes comme pour le public.

Effervescence artistique et convivialité sont, une nouvelle fois, les mots d'ordre de cette édition du Village Label.

Samedi 22 mars 2008: BEDROOM RESEARCH V4 @l'Aéronef Lille



Pour notre 4ème abordage de l'Aéronef, Bedroom Research illustre une fois de plus son addiction à la "découverte":

l'allemand Michael Fakesh et son chanteur Taprikk Sweezee fusionnent le funk de Prince avec les glitchs qui ont rendu célèbre Funkstörung, son précédant projet. Aleksi Peräla (alias Astrobotnia, Ovuca) et son electronica intergalactique rétro-futuriste qui fait de lui l'un des fers de lance du mythique label Rephlex.
Uské Orchestra et son joyeux bazar de jouets musicaux révélé par le prestigieux label Sonig (Mouse on Mars).ScanOne pour les inconditionnels du gros son dancefloor "made in UK", notre Tep local et sa fanfare polka/core déjantée, Mr Czarnekci & Mammoet pour une pop/electroacoustique soyeuse et enfin DJ Fletch aux platines pour un warmup riche en découvertes !

This is a subtil 7 track by our new trooper : Czarnekci !

Mixing guitars with a sensibly corrupted computer, Czarnekci experiments an abstract pop, subtil and colored. This collection of gentle sonic tweaks and tricks drives us from crispy landscapes to glitchy harmonic games overtopped by vocal cut+paste. Often intimate and sometimes dirty or cynical, this LP operates a successfull non-choice between 18+ fun and childhood memories. A feeling of ambiguity as refreshing as walking in the wood after 6 monthes of intense computing.

Elle est l'oeuvre de notre nouvelle recrue: CZARNEKCI !

Croisement d'une guitare et d'un ordi sensiblement buggé, cZarneKci expérimente une pop abstraite, subtile et colorée. Cet amas de bidouillages ludiques nous ballade de paysages noisy croustillants en petits jeux harmoniques teintés de glitch et parsemés de collages vocaux. Quelque peu cynique, souvent intimiste et parfois sale, cet album opère un habile non-choix entre divertissements pour adulte et souvenirs d'enfance. Un sentiment ambigu aussi rafraichissant qu'une ballade en sous-bois.

Enjoy et prévenez vos voisins!!
