Ok, this is mostly for people to get a common place to meet and carpool, find the campsite, etc. You can send us a message if you need some additional info.
Caravaning upFriday 5 June 09
Folks who want to head up this day can meet at the old Wal-Mart parking lot in Jacksonville. Have your carpool group ready when you show. Meet time Friday at 9 am, that should get you there by 12ish...you can still catch last float of the day, or just fish and hang.
Saturday 6 June 09
Meet same spot 7 am. We will float this day (around noon) so be ready to hit the water when you get there.
Sunday 7 June 09
Well last day hope everyone is there. We can get up, eat some breakfast get a couple things ready and hit an early morning float. This way we can get done so if folks have to head home they can. If you do not want to float just hang at camp and do a little fishing, sleep, or relax and do what ever you want to do.
Monday 8 June 09
Pack up and head home. may do some fishing in the am.
Things to bringTent & camping stuff (sleep in, keep bugs off and water if rain)
Food (eating is good, there will be a grill or open fire rack). The grill takes charcoal so bring some if you want to use it.
If you have a small, cheap grill bring it. Cost about 20 bucks at Wal-mart.
Bug spray (bugs can be bad)
Blankets, sleeping bag, blow up mattress, blow up doll
Sandwich material ( Good to have on the float)
Can beer (no bottles, I think it is $250 fine per glass bottle if caught. So bring can beer or a big wallet)
Cooler (keeps shit cold, drinking warm beer and then puking it in the river is not fun)
Paper plates, plastic forks/spoons
Fishing stuff (license with trout stamp, 4 lb test line, can of corn what ever for trout fishing). Ask Mike, it's good to have if you need to catch your dinner.
Water proof bag (water and cameras, lighters, cigs seem be unlightable when wet)
Towels (dry your wet ass off)
Jager, enough said.

Directions To River
I would as a backup printout directions using
mapquest or
google maps
Take 67/167 North to Bald Knob, turn left, next intersection turn right and head toward Walnut Ridge, AR. Hit Hwy 63 north, it will be a left just under the overpass. Head to Hardy, AR.
On the way stop at the KUM & GO. They have several items for 69 cents, Matt knows the story. Get some Diet Coke and Mentos and set them off in the parking lot to celebrate that you are about an hour from the river.
Go through Hardy,
do not take the bypass it doesn't save any time. Besides, you've got to see the 1980ish cop car with fake cop. Reno 911 straight up.
As you leave Hardy continue to head north on Hwy 63. Approximately 9 or 10 miles later there will be a big dirt area on the left with a sign for Many Islands. Hwy 63 will have a passing lane at this point. Turn left and follow the dirt road to Many Islands.
The entrance to the dirt road is below:

Any questions, let us know...hope to see you guys there!
