Some newz about the band line-up again ;) (changes, changes...)

As we tested the 4-member line-up at a pair of gigs, we decided to search new 2nd guitarist in the end of all :) Testing guitar players will start this week.

And now on our plans:

Concept for the 3rd album is done: the 3rd release will be devoted to small fleshy spirits-goblins of elements: Fire, Water (Snow), Air (Wind), Earth (Mud), Trees and Mushrooms.

The third album is going to be much more raw, it will have a real fast pace and tempo - evil, furious and perfect for headbang! Some tracks are already written - and yes, it's very crazy by now.

Recordings are planned to start in Autumn 2010. Watch the news.

The last, but not the least for today:

It's our first Jubilee! Our band is 5 years old!

Tomorrow's rehearsal will be filled with whiskey and beer... yo-ho, those who like our band may raise a glass too ;)

we got the first review today, and 8/10 is not bad at all!

If anyone could translate into English for us, it would be very cool :)

FENRIR from our fellow folk-metal band "DER GALGEN" becomes our new drummer!

Hope he'll do well and won't dissapoint us and all of you of course!




 

Sad, but true...

Our drummer Andrian "Somna" Avdyunin and guitarist Evgeniy "Hök" Kazhentsev leave the band at this day.

"We discussed multiple times that we like the music other than Svartby; now the time has come when we don't want to play this style of music at all. We decided to leave. We won't lie neither to you nor to ourselves. The problem is not you or your music, it's just we want something rather different. Hope you'll understand our decision."

The band hopes that all of our friends and fans will also understand the decision the guys made. We are very thankful for all they've done in the development of Svartby and wish them good luck.

Despite this heavy loss, Svartby won't give up of course! Show must go on! All the gig activity and composing new material will not be stopped.
