2) Easier to plan for without worrying about transportation and extra stuff..
3) I miss really cool shows and parties in NY

The last one I REALLY had a blast doing was a show at Canal Room over a year ago. I wasn't supposed to be doing a full hour plus set, but Lupe couldn't make it.
I was amazed to see that the place was still packed and people stayed.
We went right from the show into an amazing dance party..
Everyone had a blast.
We weren't booked to do the party part of it, but why stop when everyone's having a good time.
I know some of you guys were there that night.. I actually still get mail about it.

So.. other than the fun, silly creative "not at a venue" plans I have for this Summer/Fall time...

It would be really fresh to do some new parties, shows, events.. WHATEVER..

Liquor sponsors, magazine sponsors, imake-thingamajigs-that-arecool-andnew sponsors... WHATEVER IT IS..

Let's take advantage of the internet as a community, NYC as a community.... and do some fun stuff that'll get people wanting to come back for more.

It's all gonna be ok.. you think.. you start walking again, a bit more strut in your gait..



Then you walk into a swarm of gnats.







Sweaty, laughed at for flailing about wildly, earring on the floor, purse contents strewn bout the sidewalk...

but worse.... your lipgloss was so poppin.. so godamned poppin'.. like 85 gnats immediately got stuck directly to your lips.
Now they're mostly on your hands.. They can't come off because your lipgloss is now "poppin" all over your fingers..

You spend the remaining 4 blocks trying to gather yourself together while flicking sticky bugs off your fingers.. they don't really flick off.. they moreso transfer to the flickee finger..

I thought I wouldn't blog more today.. but in lieu of recent annoying complaints and inspite of the crap time I'm having..
I thought you might want to share in this one and perhaps laugh a bit.
